Hi !

I collecting the Satellite photos of Speedway Tracks, and I searching for help with... searching

I can't find any american track :( i know there's one in Costa Mesa (shortest on the world ?) and one in Auburn.

Of course i'm using google tool - Google Earth.

I have only 7 polish tracks with good quality from GE. But there's a "Internet Localizator" called zumi.pl where i finded other tracks (only without Krosno).

Czech republic is in poor quality too but there's similiar tool: http://amapy.atlas.cz

Do you know any other countries which have "localizator" ? Especially Russia and Austria. :P

I will be pleased for any help :)

You can find me on msn: hNroXoR@hotmail.com

And on GMail: hNroXoR@gmail.com

Well if you type these into Google maps you should find the tracks easily enough

Guestrow,plauer chaussee

Stralsund,Barther Strasse

Teterow Bergring

Brokstedt

Holsted,Ribevej

Outrup,Hennevej

Vojens,vojumvej

Skaerbaek-speedway + car tracks

Korskrovej(Esbjerg)-great pic of the 3 tracks,plus the old longtrack+motox

I did look for Costa Mesa a while back. But it was a very built up area.Never found it

Sterlitamak-looks like the track by the P-314 road

Balakovo-if you zoom in and go a bit to the left by the river, that looks like the track

Just wonder what that stadium is if you type in Ufa,and go to the east.A very large looking track by the river. Is it the Ice racing track?Looks too big but there are two tracks one inside the other if i am right

Gillman(wilkins road) in Australia is also easy to find. One track inside the other. If i found the right one

Slovenian tracks are usually only visible in poor quality on international satellite maps websites. But, luckily, a fantastic project was started in Slovenia last year, which produced a map of Slovenia covered with satellite photos in great details. The website is called GEOPEDIA and is accessible at geopedia.si.

Here are direct links to satellite photos of all 3 Slovenian speedway tracks:

Here are a couple of NY State tracks:

Champion Speedway, Owego

Action Park East, Greene

Batavia Speedway, Batavia (Not very good - won't zoom in on the track)

EDIT: Try THIS LINK for Batavia

There is another track at Brewerton NY, called Empire Speedway, but it only opened in 2007 so the Google Maps aren't very good for that. If you put Empire speedway into Google Maps it shows the Car track which is quite close.

EDIT: Try This Link for Brewerton

Who owns the copyright to GPS coordinates? I have all the Finnish track coordinates but I havent had the time to sort out if it's ok to publish them or not...

This is Beta version of many tracks I've located in Google Earth. Feel free to add or make corrections if I've got any wrong.

Hey Smedstadion- Eskilstuna is further to the west, you've manage to locate the horse race track in Sundbyholm ;)

the coordinates are these:

59 24' 58.51" N, 16 22' 37.14" E

It was relatively simple to find Costa Mesa. I just typed it into Google Earth.

Costa Mesa Close-Up

I've zoomed in to the track, as in the initial wider picture, one could be misled by two more likely candidates for the track. However, it's the shape of the grandstands that would seem to indicate this is the track. I'm going on the various photos and video clips i've seen over the years.

Obviously using one's mouse wheel you can zoom in on either image to study the images more closely.
