JUNIORBLEMISH
Oxford have got Poole next friday. I can't see any chance of that taking place right now.
KevH
Oxford have got Poole next fridday. I can't see any chance of that taking place right now. Seems like the ideal opportunity for the British teams affected to claim compensation from the FIM.
Nevs
Are there any rules for Gp riders with their clubs -ie will be missing on certain weekends due to GP and clubs have first call on any other dates? Could Mr Postlewaite have had a rush of blood before thinking what he was saying about restaging next weekend????
Trapper
Was it just me or did Ole Olsen not look his usual belligerent self on the centre green? Had he just received the biggest "telling off" of his life from John Postlethwaite?????

kevin
Well the track was just rubbish!!!!!!! The right thing was to call the meeting off and re-stage the round, glad that has happened. It's a Gp at the end of the day,the track needs to be raceable and no point in riders getting injured! Just hope for a better track next week,im sure it cant be worst. Bryce
Definitely a dreadful advert for the sport. How much hard work has tonight's incompetence undone? :-(

Seems like the ideal opportunity for the British teams affected to claim compensation from the FIM. lol - Gather Lord Lucan is already writing out the cheques on behalf of the FIM in Geneva. I'm sure BSI will invoke their "Send British Speedway to the Taxidermist" clause for next week with the full approval of Terry Russell.
werbie
Yep the track was an absolute disgrace. Then sheffield ride on one very similar every home meeting. For one minute I was mistakenly thinking that it was the sheffield track staff that had done it! Seriously though, did Olsen really think it was race-able! He derserved a telling off, if not a public stoning!

Robbo
No offence but it looked like some of the Newport Maverick riders going into them bends,me and my dad couldn't believe it and I don't think the crowd did either!
Trapper
When i used the term "telling off", i really wanted to use the term that was on the tip of my tongue, but i restrained..............
Guest Mr Flappy
Time for the BSPA to put it's foot down & stand up for itself for once by insisting that the riders race Elite League next weekend with the GP being rescheduled later in the season, thus giving Elite League etc more time to re-schedule rather than having to bow down all the time. If the riders opt to go the SGP route fine, let them do it, but they should then be reminded where their bread & butter comes from & as they would be witholding their services fine them, this has been done earlier in the season with riders racing in Poland rather than the Elite league, maybe BSI would pay riders fines if they were desperate, although I think not. Time for the BSPA to stand up to BSI otherwise they will forever be kicked around & ignored with the BSPA generally funding riders & machines for the BSI to use for virtually nothing several times a year to boost their own income. I admit the majority of the time BSI have done the sport of speedway proud together with Sky Sports, although I fear that Terry 'Fake Tan' Russell will see this as a chance to jump in, boss everyone around, get a big fee, (more sunbed time) and the British Speedway promoters will be told they can't run next weekend making the sport in this country look stupid. The SGP should by all accounts of been raced tomorrow which is the re-staging date, if this was not possible then the meeting should of been cancelled rather than ruin other promoters businesses throughout Europe. Just my humble opinion for what it's worth
