colincooke
Here is my veiw Nicki. Will be up there amongst the top boys stiil but will suffer from missing EL just as AJ has done. Crumpie.I'm backing Jason to regain the title in 2008 Leigh Adams. 3rd or 4th in 2008 which may or may not be his GP swansong. Hans. Will be there again but needs to cut out the lack of consistency if he's to get in the top 2 Gollob. Needs to master a few tracks still. As with Leigh this may or may not be his last year.2007 ended superbly for Tomasz. A rostrum place if he can be more consistent. Greg. Has been a bit of an enigma in 2007 to say the least.Would hate to see him finish on a low note. Top8 then retire is my veiw. Nicholls. In hindsight maybe his move to Eastbourne will help him on a few GP circuits. Needs to raise his game but what's new.7th or 8th or...or....who knows. Holta. Really surprised me last year & needs to maintain that form to suceed in 2008. Harris. Chris as we know was unlucky last year but maybe he was his own architect of that. That 5 point thing needs to be ditched if Chris is to progress.Chris tried out his new engines at the end of 2007,not to sure how they will work for him but some work needed to be done on that, cos they didn't look quick enough. AJ. Now he is back in EL AJ will not be relying on a nomination in 2008.Still not convinced about the concept of the machine he uses though. Bjarne. Is a far better rider than his position last year. Needs to cut out those last places late in meetings. PUK. Neils is in for a tough GP year again.Top 10 if he does well. Dryml. I have veiws on Lukas that some may not like. He may prove me wrong but he will be 2008's Antonio. Kasprszak. Polish GP's will be his best but needs more if he is to be a success. Lindgren. In my veiw a more solid rider than KK or NKI & wiil possibly get a top 10 place. So there you have it. fatface
I think it's going to be a lot closer than the last few years..with Pedersen and Crump fighting it out ahead of Jonsson and Andersen. Like someone else suggested..Crumpy doesn't defend the title well. I think he lacks the hunger when he is champ and and soon as he loses itm, the hunger comes back - that's why we'll see a much stronger Crumpy this year.  For Nicki the desire has always been there, he'll want it just as bad as he always has. I think we'll also see a stronger Hans Andersen. 2 years ago he was flying when in as a regular wild card, he was pressure free. Last year as a real contender, it was a different story. But I think having got through last year, he'll be stronger for it and will be up there. Andreas has the gear and the talent, he just has to cut out some silly mistakes.  The rest? Gollob great when he fancies it, rubbish when he doesn't. Hancock on the slide. Adams? I always under-rate him, but I can just never ever see him winning it. Nicholls and Harris in midtable. Kasprzak to be best newcomer.  I'd call it: 1 Nicki (by about 15 points) 2 Crump 3 Andersen  The one thing I would also say, is that Nicki is always the most vulnerable to crashing, luckily he managed to avoid injury last year. But one year, it's gonna get him. If it's this year, then it's Crump's title.
Cliv Clav
Pedersen's speed away from the tapes is consistantly better than anyone else's. So, my money would be on him to retain his title. Â Would love to see Adams win the title before he retires, as he has been a top league rider all over the world for 15 years now! Â Would also love to see AJ learn how to gate! He rarely puts together good starts in league racing let alone in the GP's. When he does gate reasonably well, we have all seen the results; 2 GP victories this year! His shoulder may hinder him and his racing from the back often means he takes a lot of chances that the trappers like Pedersen don't need to. And is he riding the right frame on inconsistent one-off tracks that are liable to rut badly?
iris123
But AJ's two wins were on the temp tracks
The Know
I think the deals right, but does it match the ambition? Was shown to be woefully short of speed at times last year by the top guys, also seemed to lose the set up when it mattered? The youngest guy to be a contender for the title though and still a good bet to be world champ one day! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would rather buy an engine than get some for free that you cant win on. Jawa is not slow its to fast and always spinning up which is the problem. Also harder to set up. Could of been world champ this year but blew it. sancho
Had quick chat with Jason @ Brandonapolis & he said he was gonna take the winter to get fit to get HIS title back next year. My moneys on Jason

Rico
I think Nicki was so far ahead of the pack mechanically last season that he'll still have that gap next season and the main race will be between Crump and Adams for second place.  I'll go for a top 8 of  1. Nicki P 2. Leigh Adams 3. Jason Crump 4. Hans Andersen 5. Andreas Jonsson 6. Tomek Gollob 7. Rune Holta 8. Scott Nicholls  Hancock to bow out the series.  Rico
Guest Team Andersen
Well i hope it will be Hans, so top 4...  Hans N Pedersen A Jonsson B Pedersen  But i think KK could be in the mix lets all wait and see Edited December 19, 2007 by Team Andersen
Liverstam
I know I said this last year, and I'm probably betting too much with my heart. But I really think everything will come together for Andreas Jonsson, because if it does, he's such a fast rider. But then again he'll probably crash and injure himself just in time for the first GP. Here's to hoping for an injury free 2008 for AJ. (In Sweden often referred to as "AJ AJ" which means "ouch ouch" because he's always injured and always complaining about some injury or sickness). Â Can't really see the old guard of Adams, Hancock and Gollob challenging for real. Â Will be interesting to see which Crump will turn up though. World champion or fading force? Â My bet is the world title will go down between Nicki, Hans and AJ.
T.N.T.
Would love to see Hans Andersen win it, but think over the season, Nicki P will be the man to beat and injury will be the only thing to stop him. Â Will go for Crumpy, Hans, AJ, Leigh and Nicholls to be next in line with Lindgren, Gollob, KK and Bjarne the next challengers. Â Tough season ahead for Bomber, Puk, Dribble, Holta and Herbie. sjw ministerofport
How about the coincidence that Nicki won two last year and became champ this year. AJ did the same this year so it may be him next year. Â I don't mind who wins so long as the racing is good.
Paddy The Rebel
1.Nicki Pedersen 2.Jason Crump 3.Leigh Adams 4.Andreas Jonsson 5.Hans Andersen 6.Chris Harris
saintschris
My heart says Nicki P Â My head says Nicki P Â COME ON NICKI Â think the suprise or maybe not such a suprise will be AJ Â 1. NICKI P no doubt bout it for me 2. AJ if stays injury free 3. Crump think his past his best but cant see him finishing much lower than that
Wildcat
1. Nicki Pedersen- Last year looked 2 steps ahead, so looks favourite to retain his title. 2. Hans Andersen- Will chase Nicki P hard but may not quite have enough. 3. Leigh Adams- Again, will be the nearly man. 4. Jason Crump- Will stay in the big 4, but wont be good enough for the other 3. 5. Scott Nicholls- Will end his inconsistenties and may even get his 1st GP win. 6. Andreas Jonsson- Has the ability to get on the rostrum, but is to inconsistent and arratic. 7. Tomasz Gollob- As with the past few years, will only do well in a few GPs. 8. Chris Harris- A very important year. Will have to really fight hard to carry on his performances from last year, but is more than capable. 9. Bjarne Pedersen- Will do better than last year but maybe just not good enough. 10. Krzysztof Kasprzak- Could be the suprise packet, may even grab a GP victory in a polish round. 11. Fredrik Lindgren- Will be fairly steady but isnt really up to breaking into the top 8. 12. Rune Holta- Possibly over achieved last year and may have a more realistic campaign this year. 13. Greg Hancock- May well struggle this year, could be his last year. 14. Niels Kristian Iversen- As with the last time he graced the GP scene, will struggle. 15. Lukas Dryml- Will be out of his depth. Mama
7. Tomasz Gollob- As with the past few years, will only do well in a few GPs. I know predictions are really personal thing, but if 4th speedway rider of the World do well "only in a few GPs", what to say about the rest (from lower places)?? Trees
Gotta be in the bleeding comp to win it so ................ Â There's only one bloke I want to see win the title in 08 and that's Leigh Adams! Â Â

hyderd
Â Â 1 N Pedersen.....i did originally go for Crumpy, but not after Sunday's result. 2 J Crump..... but only if he can get his gating back to where it was in 2006 3 A Jonsson... If he stays injury free. 4 L Adams.... Would love L Adams to do it,but i think its to late. 5 H Andersen... he has the talent, but not the staying power. 6 S Nichols....i think the move from Coventry will help him. 7 T Gollob....Could be his last year in the top 8. 8 B Pedersen....Its time Bjarne moved up a notch in the GP's 9 R Holta...... Fast when he is out front. 10 G Hancock.....He's past his best. 11 k kazprzak....Relies to much on gating 12 F Lindgren.....He's young and will get better. 13 N K Iverssen..Again the odd gate will save him from being bottom 14 C Harris.....Would love to put him higher, but he needs to gate more consistantly. 15 L Dyrml......Lucky to be in the GP'S.
