BigFatDave
Playing up now Hey BFD, if you look on Flash Earth which is the speedway track? I'm guessing it's the track that stands on it's own? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> G'day m8! Yep, its about 10k east of town. Not a bad night last night; the racing hotted up in the second half of the program. The support races of the 350's were worth the price of admission alone, Oz is blest with some great emerging talent. Good to see tom hedley getting back in the groove; if it wasn't for an IMHO dubious refereeing decision to exclude him in his second ride he could have made the A main, as it was a second to Cam in the B main was well-deserved. He goes better on the bigger tracks; looking forward to Newcastle where he shone last year. Joe Screen is a -set legend, no ifs or buts. Once again he showed the youngsters the way home and the race with Chris and Freddie was a ripper, Chris's finish of third his worst in the comp so far. The curse of jacket 14 struck again with Richard Sweetman's injury of a suspected wrist fracture the only downer of the day. All up a great meeting, if not quite as good as Gillman; that one was really one out of the box! We're off along the coast to Melbourne today; another chance to drink a few Poms under the table!! crazysue
didn't realize it was on Live Updates...thx!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I tend not to announce it as it is an unofficial thing and results are taken from online sources anyway (well apart from the desperation texts sent to Lunchy when the radio link goes down!) and also to try and save bandwidth over here and because for the 1st round there seemed to be a fair bit of interest on the site. We will have coverage for the final 2 rounds but your host for the start will be Bryn due to me having school runs to do. crazysue
Eh? No no, that was not my intention... just thought I would explain why I didn't do my normal announcement in case anyone was wondering. No intention at all to wrist slap or have a go...thought never crossed my mind at all and in fact, I was chuffed you posted we were doing them over there. chopper
Have to echo BFDs thoughts, a good meeting, great racy track, and once again Screeny good entertainment value, although not being able to beat Holder in the final. Didnt see you around BFD, and Lunchy, but enjoy the rest of your trip, wish we were following the tour, but have to get organised for the perth trip. Hope that the 350s are given a greater presence next year, ten riders with a final at all rounds(including gillman)would be a great boost to the class. Cheers Chopper

Cheers Chopper <{POST_SNAPBACK}> G'day Chopper; sorry we missed you, we were up at the top of Turn 1 with a few Pomgolians! No heavy beer in cans so alas we were forced to drink Bundy. I had to split before the ceremonies sad to say, had to help round up the tourists and herd them back to their pens. Couldn't agree more about the 350's, M8, they were only a few seconds slower than the big boys plus the obvious benefit is that when the boys are old enough they can turf the 350 motor, drop in a 500 and away they go. We'll miss them up at Newcastle; can't wait to see what they've got organised. Best of luck in Perth for the Under-16's, its a ****** long way to go so hopefully it'll be worth while. Say hello to the Sedgeman Bros for us! (Oh, and watch out for Ozyace, man after me own heart, doubtless he'll attempt to lead you astray! Meanwhile I'm in Melbourne en route to the North; lets hope the weather clears up as the Showgrounds is a great Circuit, and fingers crossed we'll get Four-Lappers up there as well. It was fantastic to see 'em at Mt G: a great circuit that deserves a decent race distance. See you then.
sEdgY2
i would rather hit the mildura fence than the gillman fence trust me! Oops - my mistake! Unlike Travis (and others in the past!)
