Aussie Champs Line Up

Update on Travis Mcgowan, taken from another site is that he has withdrawn from the meeting in Mount Gambier , and will be replaced by Richard Sweetman.

Shoulder problems been given as the injury.

As for Ty Proctor i feel after watching him wed night that it is only his gating which needs sharpening up , which regular racing will hopefully improve, its easy to be made to look slow in that sort of field, especially if your not gating.

Cheers Chopper

Cheers for the link to the photo's, i too noticed Josh Grajocek (sp) wearing a Leatt or similar neck brace. I wonder what his feedback on wearing it is

My lad Robert has been wearing one for the past six months, firstly for motocross and now for his speedway and he doesnt even know he has it on now.

The only problem we encountered was the brace pushing up on the back protector , so we found a womens protector that goes up to where the spine protector starts on the leatt brace.

Personally i wouldnt have him out there without one.

Cheers Chopper

Thanks for the info on Ty.

This may seem like a silly question, as they could be way apart with reagrds to talent, but just read all of it:

How does Ty compare to Arlo Bugeja? The reason i ask is because i don't know the level of competition in regular season racing and when Budgie came over here, he was beating every rider in our 2nd halves race after race. But when he raced for the Bears (the main team), it was a bit too much too soon and just wasn't ready.

Does Ty have better machinery and have they ever raced each other?

Hope Trav is o.k

Travis down hard in the B final, really nasty, crowd gone very quiet.....

Video clip of Trav's crash from Aussie news

Although the news report states Travis suffered a dislocated shoulder, Reading website initially ran the same news but was updated yesterday stating that he has in fact suffered a stretched tendon and is back at home resting.

Very, very lucky boy after hitting a solid wall (wtf is that all about!! ) at such speed.

Get well soon Trav.

Glad to hear that Trav's injuries aren't as serious as they might possibly have been and hopefully he'll be back to full fitness soon. Having been at Gillman several times, just to clarify, it is NOT a solid wall but a wooden fence.

The fence at Mildura is wooden

Gillman has a rubber fence.

Thanks for clearing that up Bryn, I was only stating what it said on the news broadcast.

That barrier didn't seem to have a lot of give in it, thank god there was nobody behind Trav when it threw him back onto the track.

Even though Trav came from, and has moved on again to the dark side :P , he soon made himself a firm favourite at Reading and I hope this latest injury to what must be an already weak shoulder doesn't hold him back in 2008 - wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

Oops - my mistake! Unlike Travis (and others in the past!) I haven't got as close as he did to it!

Mikael -

if you go to the archive section and then click on Wednesday 18:00 Jazz I think you will find it there.

I dont think the have a facility to change the programme type on the archive section so its best to go along wit the time rather than the programme name.

Thanks ALOT!

Should be good fun at Mt Gambier tonight; its a high-banked track similar to the old Shay Stadium.

Geez I tell you what, some of these Poms already know how to drink, I didn't even hafta teach 'em!! :o

38 - 39 this arvo but it'll cool down quite a bit tonight. No breeze so it'll be pleasant, looking forward to some more leg-trailing from a certain Pomgolian rider.
