Anders
Have to say the Kenneth Bjerre that is often described on the BSF is a different rider to the one i see in Denmark(but then so is Henrik Møller ).He in the past couple of years at least isn't just a gating tart. Fully agree. I have seen Bjerre pulling off some fantastic passes in the Swedish league and I just can't understand how he can be described as a gating tart. Anders
It´s only ONE Gating Tart in the world Anders and You know who? When He passed Nicholls at GREEN VALLEY it was a shocker and onetime show;) Nah, he (Lee Richardson for you, Liverstam ) actually can more than just gate, I think you need to see him ride on a weekly basis to see what he is capable of. However, I remember the pass on Nicholls as being pure poetry. Overall, I feel more and more points are won from the gate nowadays, and that's not due to the fact that I watch most of my speedway in Vetlanda, before someone mention it... When He passed Nicholls at GREEN VALLEY it was a shocker and onetime show;) Sounds very similar to Schlein passing Nicki at the 'green valley' last year - shocker and onetime show And thanks Anders! But now I fear we are far off topic... Edited April 26, 2008 by Liverstam

MrMungo
Monday; Grindsted - Outrup: Grindsted: 1. Henrik Gustafsson, 2. Jesper Kristiansen, 3. Henning Bager, 4. Anders Andersen, 5. Peter Juul Larsen Outrup: 1. Ronnie Jamrozy, 2. Kamil Zielinski, 3. Miroslaw Jablonski, 4. Tommy Georgsen, 5. Steffen Andersen Courtesy of www.speedway-league.com. It was a shame this match was ruined slightly by the weather. Good to know that not only England has dreadful weather! It started to rain just after 5pm in Grindsted and to be honest it never really stopped. It was light at times, but other times it got harder, which was especially evident after ht 9(the interval) and certainly caused Henka's accident. But full credit to all the riders - it couldn't have much fun towards the end of the evening! Had it been in the UK, I definitely don't think we'd have gotten more than 8-9 heats. As for the meeting, it was a pretty close affair. Grindsted started strongly with an opening 5-1 courtesy of the team riding Henka and Jesper Kristiansen (the Stoke one) and after that they were in control. Outrup kept it close at times but they were never really consistent enough to cause a threat. The match ended 47-40.ish! 2 programmes and a pen gave up after about ht 11, so not 100% on the final score, but it was defnitely a home win. It seems like Antonio is ok. According to the the swedish newspapers, Antonio has broken his nose, had a few stiches in his forehead and suffer from a concussion. But the coach of his team in Sweden, Vargarna, is saying that Antonio might come to Norrköping today to support his teammates in their meeting. Nicki is again involved in a serious crash, even Holsteds (Nickis team in Denmark) own fans are critising Nicki for how he was riding against Antonio. But as usual Nicki is defending himself and this time blaming Antonio for riding to reckless. Antonio did a mistake, he didn´t take into consideration that Nicki was on the track. Most riders drifts out towards the fence Should Nicki just let Antonio pass without trying to defend the 1st position? Antonio should know better then to try to pass Nicki on the outside because there is never enough room to go on Nicki's outside. ANd it was ANtonio who ran into NIcki and not the opposite. Its pretty lame to always accuse Nicki of being the cause of an incident. Everyone seems to base their opinion on what the newspaper says so wait with your judgement until you have an actual footage of the event. Everyone seems to base their opinion on what the newspaper says so wait with your judgement until you have an actual footage of the event. Antonio said once that the danish riders ride to kill, and even if he exaggerate a bit, he still has a point. The way som of the danish riders ride is a kind of nasty. I see pretty often how some of the other riders leave som space between the fence and themself just to ride fair against other riders. But some of the danish riders, especially Hans and Nicki has made it to a habit to close that space for others, just to make sure noone will pass them. Of course they have the right to do it, but is fair way of acting towards the rest. I am not the only one blaming Nicki. The referee did it to, he was excluding Nicki for causing the accident. And how often does it happen that fans are criticing their own riders for careless riding. I have heard it once before, when Hans got a black flag during a race when he rode like a maniac against Tony R in Avesta. But I usually defend Nicki, he has improved a lot. He was much worse a couple of years ago.
