Bryn
Heard from Gavin Elmes that amongst those entered for the meeting at Pioneer Park are: Mitchell Davey, Scott Smith, Trent Leverington, James Holder, Josh Grajczonek and Kozza Smith (NSW). whowasthatberntpersson
Scott Smith won, and a deserved winner he was too, he actually led Troy Batchelor in last years event at Pioneer Park until his engine stopped. Reults; 1st Scott Smith 2nd Kozza Smith 3rd Trent Leverington 4th Steven Reid James Holder was unlucky, stopping whilst in the lead in his fifth ride. Final was re run, first attempt Reid and K Smith held a slight lead, Scott Smith then Leverington dived underneath entering the third bend, yet surprisingly no exclusion (Leverington appeared to cause Reid to fall) Next time out Scott Smith made no mistake, Kozza Smith tried hard but couldn't get past and held off pressure from Leverington to take third with the unlucky Reid trailing. Pinstripe
S. Smith has been impressive in Oz in the last few winters. What average would he return on?
SCB
S. Smith has been impressive in Oz in the last few winters. What average would he return on? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I assume 7. Unless anyone has heard anything different about the averages for Australians.

em1500uk
For those asking about Aussie averages, AFAIK they can now come over to the UK on a 5 Nice to see Kozza doing well. He impressed me when he had a race or two at Lynn.
ozpirate
Apart from the riders that finished on the podium, the two guys that really impressed me last night were Sam Masters who only recently stepped onto a 500, and 4th placed man Steven Reid. The 350 racing was top shelf - what a great innovation for Australian Speedway. You could throw a blanket over Darcy Ward, Tyson Nelson and Alex Davies in most of their heats. whowasthatberntpersson
Spot on. An excellent meeting overall, the 350's were top notch. Young Steven Reid rode very well, thought he was quite unlucky in the first staging of the final, someone should of been excluded. Good to see such a large crowd, the weather had looked dodgy all day and I honestly thought the clouds were going to open up at some stage. On a personal note, 'nice to have a few beers and watch most of the main event after the juniors had finished, and great to catch up as always OP. ajh
Darcy Ward certainly impressed the Lynn fans who saw his appearance on a 500 in an Academy League meeting. He is one rider I hope Lynn keep tabs on and bring into the team when he is rider to come over. Looks a natural
