Stiltonpanther
Any news on injuries yet?? from where I sat it looked as though David got his foot caught in Martin's wheel. There were mechanics running about with spanners in their hands. David was taken off the track with his ankle bandaged. Craig hit the fence very hard in the other nasty crash and was down for several minutes. He had his legs strapped up but was conscious. That's all I can tell you. Heat 1: Kennett from the gate, Atkin pirouetted on lap 2, Morris locked up on lap 3. Atkin passed Morris on the line and then had to lay his bike down after the race as it was on fire. Much kicking of ice and keystone cops stuff. Comebackings says that the referee wants to speak to speak to Drury, probably to see if there is a fire extinguisher here. Heat 2: From the gate. Heat 3: From the gate and quick. Heat 4: From the gate. Tacey almost fenced himself trying to get past O'Hare. Heat 5: Great race between Simmonds and Franc. Heat 6: From the gate. Heat 7: From the gate, with the Poles all over the track. Heat 8: Brown took out Kennett. To be rerun without Brown. All 3 swapping paint, Kennett and Branney side by side for 3 laps. Heat 9: Smolinski last to first. Heat 10: Atkin from 3rd to 1st forcefully. Heat 11: From the gate. Heat 12: Hargreaves fell twice. Mr thingy was hard under Kennett. Kennett did his paddington hard stare at the referee. Heat 13: Hlavcek took Morris's leg. To be rerun, Thingy excluded. From the gate. Heat 14: 5 lap race! Franc highsided on turn 1. Heat 15: Tacey hard under Hargreaves off turn 2 of lap 1. Mroz looks like he is riding on ice, literally, LoL Heat 16: O'Hare collected the fence on lap 1, his cutout came out, he replaced it while coasting over the line, and still came third. INTERVAL NOW Not sure exactly what this means but Comebackings says that Smolinski beat Morris and Simmonds in the ice skating. Heat 17: Hargreaves took Morris's leg. To be rerun without Hargreaves. Brown leg trailing but still 3rd. Heat 18: From the gate. Heat 19: From the gate. Heat 20: Broadhurst fell on turn 4 of lap 1. He remounted but was almost a lap behind. Brummie Kev
Went to the afternoon meeting and i really enjoyed it. It was my first ice meeting and it was great to it pretty full. Obviously the injuries to Craig Branney and David Howe put a downer on the afternoon. Craigs was awful he went full speed into the wall, terrible to hear he broke his leg. Its was great to see garry stead make an appearence, the racing was good just a shame about the injuries, Howe was excellent before his injury. The dancing on ice was great, how funny was shaun tacey, pity he didnt win it. Good meeting just cant wait for the season to start now. Queen Bee
Just got back and had a great time - the best Telford Meeting I've been to. Sympathies go to Craig Branney -nasty crash and happened right in front of us... Hope you are up and about soon Craig! Hope David is ok too! The ice dancing was hilarous - Shaun Tacey was funny!, as was Wizzer, Trick and Smoli in the evening event.... well done boys! All in all a great day, with great company! stevebrum
Any news on injuries yet?? just updated on Wolves official site. David has a badly cut foot that needed stitching and should rest for bout 3 weeks. Hopefully that puts him in line to start the season. HEAL WELL HOWIE!!!!!! As for Branney, im not suprised if his leg is broke. I sat right in front of where he crashed and the thud was sickening and saw his lower leg bend backwards - totally sickening afternoon all round.
