Big Meeting At Poole

Recommended Posts

Chris, if this meeting was taking place at Coventry to celebrate their history, and with this lineup, I would have purchased a ticket the first week they went on sale and would be looking forward to coming up on Sunday. This is the best lineup on show in the UK this year. Likely to be better than the GP lineup at Cardiff, though of course I won't compare the two meetings.

Needless to say the riders will be completely up for it with such a prize on offer.

UNBELIEVABLE....

Harry 'The God' Redknapp is going to be in the great presence of myself. Amazing. If he doesn't ask me for his autograph, I may have to ask him for his.

Big thumbs up to the promotion for getting the best english manager in the UK.. :approve:

Why would he ask you for his own autograph!!!!:wink:

Not looking that brilliant a forcast for sunday, depending what time the meeting starts on sunday

Outlook for Saturday to Monday Poole from the Met Office:

Wet and windy on Saturday, cooler on Sunday with heavy prolonged rain which may be wintry on the moors with 38mph gusts.

Rain clearing to heavy showers on Monday with damaging winds possible

Don't know what forecast Eastie is reading but the forecast on TV just this evening showed rain on Saturday on and off, then a drier day Sunday with a few scattered showers, and overnight heavy rain with a stormy Monday.

Should be all systems go. If it does rain Saturday it will get the perfect watering and make the track perfect.

Where is 21st Century when we need him.

By nature of the job I do we need to track the weather carefully. We need to work out predicted flying time for aircraft in order to stay within the law.

The forcast for Monday is one of the lowest of lows this country has seen for many year - according to those that know. BUT we are actually calculating flying hours for Sunday. It isnt going to be brilliant and if the Monday pattern decides to come in early then you will have aproblem. But I think for a speedway meeting you may just get it in under the wire.

Fingers crossed. :)

That's quite a general forecast though Eastie and the rest of the South West can have totally different weather coming off the Atlantic, especially in Devon and Cornwall. . There's a more localised forecast here, but I'll still wait until Saturday before even thinking of worrying. The one good thing is the forecasts are improving bit by bit as the days go by. :D

Eastie said his forecast came from the met office Steve.Their site says, rain Saturday, dry early Sunday & rain later so you may strike lucky. You are correct of course to say that natural water is better for a track in moderation than anything else.Genuinely hope all is well, as i have freinds who will be unable to do the Monday. Circumstances only mean i can't be there. The rest, well that was just my bit of fun.

Who is Harry Rednapp??

is he a football manager who has never won anything??

For once you have posted something worth reading

Indeed Judas Redknob is in the long line of unsuccesful and crap in general English managers who thinks he can turn water into wine. He also makes the gullable locals of P********h and Bazaar believe that he will win them the Champions League in 2 years. He is constantly linked with jobs at bigger and better clubs, yet amazingly, was not linked with the recent vacant managers position at Southampton. Hope this helps
