Glad I'm not going mad just yet then! ;)

Frankie is a stickler for making sure the riders don't move and he held them that second time for an inordinate amount of time. Not surprised at all that there was another tape touching. Having said that, he was whizzing the meeting through at some a gallop it was good to have a bit of a hold-up!

Regarding Heat 17, Crump should not have been penalised the first time. Ebdon held the tapes for a ridiculous amount of time, all the riders were moving and Crump was the unlucky one who touched them.

In the re-run, Crump moved very noticeably. It caused Ebdon to delay releasing the tapes, and then Bjarne Pedersen touched them. That one was all Crump's fault.

And the 25m handicap is only for riders placed into a race as a tactical off 15m, who are then penalised for moving at the start. There should be no "second" penatly for a rider who began from the tapes - they should be out of the race.

Meeting built from a slow start into a nice climax - Heat 18 was the race of the afternoon, with Jonsson, Andersen and Nicholls battling for all 4 laps. Jonsson was the best rider of the afternoon, but Nicki made the most of his second chance in the final.

Quite disappointed with the turn-out, given how much Poole had promoted this meeting (something I think they deserve great praise for). There was only 1 row of people stood around the third/fourth bend. I've been to Poole (for a crucial Poole v Oxford league match) where it's been packed around there. I would say today's crowd was somewhere around 3000-3500 as a very rough guess. Really it should have been a capacity 6000 crowd.

All the best

Rob

But didn't Crump cheat twice and since he passed BP, didn't he prosper?
Different incident. To be fair to Crumpy, he didnt cheat, the referee messed up. Crumpy didnt leave the track at any point to speka to the ref.

Whoops SCB, you got that wrong. :D

So is he still a cheating Dane. or an ever slowing through the meeting Dane? :o

Still only allowed 1 tyre per race and Bjarne had a fresh tyre for the rerun that the other didnt have.

enjoyed this afternoon, some good racing after the interval, very impressed with the russian lad and chris holder is certainly a 8 point rider this season.will have to give zabik a bit more time but he was alot better than harris who should not turn in that display.has he only got one bike,he was well off the pace.nicki pedersen was head and shoulders above anybody else and it looks that he will dominate the sport for a few seasons like ivan mauger did in the early seventies. good crowd certainly more thant three thousand.

Wrong again! For this meeting each rider started with 3 brand new tyres. They had to have their name painted on each one,and could use them as they wished. They could only used their own named tyres.

I had been told this before the meeting, but have been waiting for the confirmation before confirming it on here.

4.Kasprzak. Started terribly. Disappointing until his final two races. Not good enough and expected more.

Saw Kasper afterwards chatting to his manager and he wasn't a happy bunny. Judging by the convo, he was well disappointed with his performance. Must admit I didn't expect him to much more in that sort of company and think 7 points was pretty accpetable. Think he's going to find the GPs quite tough as he's such a perfectionist who wants to win, win, win.

Interested to see a few riders wearing the new back support/nexk collars that Lawrence Hare was promoting. Bjarne, N pedersen, Schlein and I think one other were wearing them. heard that they might be compulsory next season. Perhaps if they work they should be brought straight in. What's the point in waiting, when in the meantime thewre could be a tradgedy?

Talking of which, the biggest cheer of the day was for Cegeilski, who was greeted to rapturous applause. For a guy that only rode for Poole a single season, he has really taken to our hearts and when he spoke it was to silence. Hope his recovery continues and he gets to his dream of walking again.

You should read the Leatt neck brace thread.

Rabs, I firmly believe that Hans Andersen hasn't done better in the GPs for the very same reason.

I guess SCB must stand for 'Speaks Complete Bol**cks' then??...

Get your tin hat on pal , your going to need it ! :D

 I wonder if there will be an apology forthcoming for the 'cheating Dane' Bjarne? Or will there be some other fantasy rule he violated.
