Buck Rogers
Anybody know anything about the line up or idea behind this meeting? Maybe Crouch or Bryn could come on and say a few lines . . . . . . I thought I heard/read somewhere that the 3rd/4th play off had been scrapped, and that this had been added as some sort of benefit meeting for Johno, which seems to make much more sense that a play off to decide 2nd and 3rd losers! Hopefully all the Islanders lads will be there, including our last chance to marvel and Chris Holder! Maybe a few riders with a view towards next year, and a few of Chris' conference team mates? Weather looks good anyway!

Crouch
Anybody know anything about the line up or idea behind this meeting? Maybe Crouch or Bryn could come on and say a few lines . . . . . . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The 3rd/4th Place Play Off Meeting had to be cancelled as Kings Lynn had no dates left to accomodate a fixture at Saddlebow Road. This Meeting is a farewell to Chris Holder, and other Riders confirmed to be there include Lewis Bridger, Filip Sitera, Leigh Lanham, Casper Wortman and Jesper Kristiansen. Islanders in attendance will be Chris Holder of course, Cory Gathercole, Kryzstof Stojanowski, Glen Phillips and Andy Bargh. Jason Bunyan will be at the Meeting, but may not ride folwing a wrist injury sustained at Kings Lynn on the night of Johno's dreadful crash. Any sort of benefit meeting or social event to help Chris Johnson out, will be left until such time as he is out of Hospital and able to be with us for the evening. We will be having a collection for Johno on Tuesday, so please bring some loose change and fill the Buckets up for him. Many thanks, Crouch. Crouch
You will enjoy watching Filip Sitera . He was really exciting at Glasgow yesterday . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And at Reading last night - as did 'Stoj'. Looks like we will have a fair old meeting this evening. Let's hope our fans enjoy watching Filip as much as everyone else seems to have done. Please turn up in numbers you Islanders supporters and fill those Buckets up for Chris Johnson. Many thanks, Crouch.

How come he's stuck on that rather modest mark in the PL? Filip Sitera looked very quick indeed too - and should continue to turn heads with his riding. Good luck in supporting Chris Johnson - its such terrible luck for the kid.

As for Sitera whichever British club snaps him up, he will be an excellent signing. Very quick, brave and skilled. Speaks excellent English as well, which means he will be a hit the fans. Also like to echo Racer X's comments about Chris Johnson. CJ is a smashing lad and I am keeping my fingers crossed for him that he is soon of the road to recovery. Parsloes 1928 nearly
Right..: well having had the pleasure of seeing Filip Sitera riding in Prague (retaining his Czech Under 19s title) the other week, I predicted a rostrum position for him at Reading last night and he duly delivered.. But for hitting the fence on the second bend in the Grand Final after finishing equal top on 14 points in the 'qualifiers' he could indeed have won the thing last night and certainly would've improved on his eventual third place.. Tonight on the bigger and, crucially for his style of riding, wider spaces of Smallbrook I'm going for broke and predicting that the lad will be the winner!! Anyway, the idea always was to make it competitive, so let's hope he makes the Final and gets on with the Track. H Man - you are quite right about our Stoj - a nicer guy you couldn't wish to meet. Lemo had the better start position of gate 3 and knew his chief opposition would come from Sitera whom he blocked well, and it cost Sitera big time. Sitera may be fast but he showed a little inflexibility there. He was not in any way gaining on Hougaard though before the Dane's bike threw a chain as he battled Stojanowski. I will be very surprised indeed if Sitera is better than Holder - we'll have to see on that one. Lewis Bridger is perhaps not best suited to the bigger tracks normally but he is in top form at the minute. But Sitera made an excellent debut on the Reading track, I would just like to know how well he'd fare on a track without a pulling outside run. Parsloes 1928 nearly
Crikey Parsnips That will put the mockers on Chris (Track Record) Holders night if he does. Well, looks like my prediction did indeed do that. Hats off to Sitera. Three individual meetings in three days on tracks he'd never seen let alone ridden before and a record of second, third and second. Excellent stuff!!
