Anders
After five years as Elit Vetlanda's (previously VMS Elit) team manager, Christian Fridh decided to step down, that was announced shortly after Christmas, but Fridh's successor has been unknown, until now. Fredrik Staaf, coming from a four year stint as team manager for Piraterna, will be taking his place leading the 2004 and 2006 years Swedish Elite League champions Elit Vetlanda during 2008, according to a press release. Anders
What is the latest news concerning Varg-Olle and Fredrik Lindgren?Olle still doing work for the youngsters? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> From the newspaper of Östran/Nyheterna (covering Dackarna and Västervik). PRAISED BY 'VARG-OLLE' Dackarna rider Fredrik Lindgren has received this year's 'Varg-Olle' scholarship within the car and motorcycle sports. The legend 'Varg-Olle' Nygren presented the prize on the motorcycle show 'På två hjul' (On two wheels) in Gothenburg on Sunday. -Fredrik Lindgren was a natural choice, 'Varg-Olle' says to Norrköpings Tidningar. A good guy who already has done a great deal for the sport of speedway. He has all the tools to be the next big Swedish star in speedway. It's really only the experience that he's lacking at the moment. It's the third time that the 'Varg-Olle' scholarship has been presented to a leader or rider within the car and motorcycle sports. The scolarship sum is 50 000:- SEK. Last autumn, Lindgren became Swedish league champion with Dackarna of Målilla. This season he is one of two Swedish riders in the Grand Prix series. ---- 'Varg-Olle' also holds training sessions at the Örebro track (home of Vikingarna) on 7 occasions during the month of May. Dackarnas has expressed a wish/intrest in putting a roof over the stadium. Also while im at it Zagar will ride for Hammarby this season. Cant understand why someone would be intrested in a no-show guy like Zagar.

Clearly you have no idea of what went on behind the scenes at Kaparna last year. Zagar's a bloody good rider with a point to prove. Besides, he's on a contract with no guarantees where he will have to chase really hard to earn the dosh. This is a brilliant move. Anyone who saw him in Stockholm in 2006 won't have any doubts how good he is round there.
Ghostwalker
Where did i mention Kaparna? Eric, Zagar was banned last season (2007) in england for not showing up for his english club's meetings when has was assigned to ride for his english or wasnt he? Apparently he had sicknotes as an excuse but instead of curing himself he rode in meetings in Slovenia while being "injured"... not especially admirable. Like a spoiled brat.. Matej got talent for sure but its such shame he is gonna waste it...

Well, not even Greg Hancock bothered. So something was clearly not right there. We'll see. I'm sure he'll come good. In any case it's much less of a gamble than spoilt brat Davidsson. He seems to appear in some lists and not others so wondering if he was a late addition?
