Mateusz
Promoters of Polish Ekstraliga clubs decided not to introduce wild cards (which would mean enlarging the league to 10 teams) since next season.. This means my beloved Polonia Bydgoszcz have been finally relegated to Division 1, after 56 seasons of continuous ride in the top league.. Only Bydgoszcz and Torun voted for the wild cards. In this situation I don't think Gollob's gonna join Bydgoszcz in the lower league either. Edited October 10, 2007 by Mateusz
CaptainMarvel
at least there is some good news for you. Taken from ajracing.se After this year's poor season of Polonia, fans from Bydgoszcz and other cities were wondering if Andreas would stay in Bydgoszcz in case the league's not enlarged and Polonia have to ride in Division 1. Many people didn't believe in "I love Bydgoszcz" written on AJ's kevlar any more. To them, but especially to those who have always been with AJ and their team through thick and thin, Andreas would like to say: There were many promoters contacting me to negotiate contracts with their clubs for next season. Each time my answer was the same: no, there's nothing to talk about as I'm going to stay in Bydgoszcz! I have no will to change my Polish club. My aim is to ride for Polonia as long as they want me here. I'm a skipper of the team who lost Ekstraliga this year. I do feel responsible for this and can't leave Polonia now. This was the only decision I could make as being the captain responsibility for results was double for me. Last winter we were left by Piotr Protasiewicz and Robert Kosciecha. This year's line-up wasn't strong then and I knew it was going to be hard... What's more, injuries and other problems didn't leave me in peace later on and finally we needed a miracle to stay up in Ekstraliga. This miracle didn't happen, unfortunately. It means Andreas will be riding for Polonia no matter what division the team will eventually land in... «
Mateusz
I know as I wrote this text AJ screwed this season but at least he has balls and honour to stay in and try to pull us from the hopeless Division 1.
Subedei
Well, we'll see - a long time to go before the tapes go up on the 2008 season. Plenty of time for a Jonsson change of heart. After all, we were told over and over again that Coventry were the only team for him in the UK.

Hazzman
In Daugavpils, for example <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was attempting to write down next season's line-ups on a piece and sync them up with airports. Then I got to Daugavpils!! But at least Gdansk, Grudziadz and Ostrow are driveable. Plus the added boost of seeing your team ride in your second home of Poznan. Very strange decision. / Mikael <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think what'll happen is Ekstraliga will get together in a month or so and expand the league to 10 teams for 2009 season. A big problem is that there's not enough quality riders on the market these days and by adding two teams to e-liga so soon would create havoc as teams would try and out-bid each other even for the mediocre riders...i think ekstraliga has to think things over and perhaps put into place CMA.... or teams will go bankrupt. AJ always gets put down for his commitment so its nice to see what he is doing. Hope it does not hamper his progress riding in the lower league and lets hope they can put a strong team together and get straight back up.
