AJ was announced as riding, at the last meeting, but no mention now...hmm

Maybe he is worried he will have to handover some of his recent winnings to the pot! :D

I'm a Sitera fan. He was great at The Barr on Wednesday. Check out the Brummies/Wolves thread for thoughts on him. There's no way I'm standing on the 1st/2nd turn for his first ride though. I'll come back when he's had a few laps.

In brief...he took a ride to work out the track (putting it politely  ), then scored 13 from 5 rides. He only dropped points to Freddie in his last two, and wasn't that far away from him.

Pretty good line-up, and should be good.

Any plans to re-stage Mon/Tue in the event of a rain off, or will it simply be cancelled?

Hmm, the forecast for Sunday doesn't look great does it  I hope it will be re-arranged (and the Oxford meeting I was going to in the evening, also starring Mr Sitera) if the weather doesn't play ball. Think I'd better start organising a plan B for Sunday, just in case.

I'm really pleased to see this meeting is being run on a handicap format like The Olympique as i missed that meeting this year. There's still no confirmation of the final rider & i was wondering if there are any ideas out there as too who it may be.

Let's hope the weather gods are being nicer than is being predicted.

Andy - Rider number 8 is listed as TBC.

Toby Bert Croner maybe

or

Tomasz Barry Chrzanowski

Only joshing with you. Very strange that they choose number 8 to be confirmed. Why not number 16? :D

And what happened to Aj. Announced last week as riding and now not in the list :(

Food poisoning?

....Linus Sundstrom is a new 1 on me.

Is he the one who was practising after the fireworks last night along with Adam?

Yeah he is. It's a shame it doesn't look like AJ's riding now, i could watch him time and time again around brandon in his current form. I guess the final rider will be a junior unfortunately, given the short notice, ben barker maybe, i seem to remember him riding in last seasons special meeting.

Taken from bees web site.

THE Diamond Jubilee Brandonapolis at Brandon starts at 1pm on Sunday. If any weather updates are required, the Buildbase Beeline will carry all of the up-to-date information - call 09068 664 677 (60p/min). The final space in the line-up has been taken by Lakeside's Leigh Lanham, whilst Eric Andersson has agreed to ride in place of Edward Kennett. We look forward to seeing everyone at Brandon this lunchtime!

From what I know, if it is rained off today then it will be re-staged on Monday.

Can't see them not re-staging if necessary. Three more days of the season, and more money to be squeezed out of the paying public. ;)

Met Office site has rain clearing by noon & BBC site by 1.00PM.If this iscorrect all should be well & there will be no chance of the track being dusty again as the water will bind the shale.

I said that assuming there was some shale that would be the case, which would be better than rain on the horrible surface that we saw on Friday. Steve Turner pointed out that at least water will just run off concrete!!
