Oi, the conversation about KL/Sheffield is over in the PL forum.

This is about Pride of the East, not Sheffield riding at Kings Lynn.

FOCUS. ;)

Actually, I look forward to seeing Cameron Woodward ride at KL again - at my first meeting this year, the Ashley Jones memorial, for some unknown reason he was my favourite rider in that meeting.. How disappointed I was to learn I wouldn't be seeing him every week. But now.. I can see him ride at Lynn again. :approve:

Press release just issued by KL promotion...

King's Lynn speedway this Wednesday evening at 7:30pm will host the prestigious 'Poultec Pride Of The East' Individual meeting. 16 of the countries top racers from the Premier League and Elite League will meet up at Saddlebow Road to battle it out over 20 heats with the top 4 scorers qualifying for the Grand Final.

Fans will have a bumper night of entertainment with 20 qualifying races, a 4 man Grand Final plus a giant firework display at the end, co-promoter, Jonathan Chapman thinks that King's Lynn Speedway really knows how to put on a show 'we have built the entertainment side up over the past couple of seasons and the fireworks at the end will be magnificent, the line up we have put together also ensures that every race will be an exciting one, it's going to be hard to predict a winner on the night but I'm sure we will at least see one of our own riders somewhere near the top!'

The line up is one of the most even and entertaining that has been seen at Pride Of the East for years, there are some natural racers such as Lewis Bridger, Chris Holder, James Wright, Daniel Nermark and Kossa Smith, and then there's the super slick riders such as Leigh Lanham, Josef Franc, Mark Lemon and Tomas Topinka all mixed in with the brilliance of Kevin Doolan, Chris Schramm, Cameroon Woodward and other home favorites such as Trevor Harding and Adam Allott, Stars team manager rob Lyon gives his verdict on the line up 'it will be the most interesting meeting we have seen for a long time, if I was a bookie I would not know who to make the favourite, one of the dark horses has got to be Josef Franc though, last time he was at King's Lynn he beat both Tomas and Daniel by quite a distance!'

Admission prices for the 'Poultec Pride Of the East' are Adults £12, Concessions £8, Juniors (12-15years) £4 and Kids 11 years and under FREE.

The 2007 KO Cup Final dates have now been confirmed and it looks to be a repeat of last years final with Somerset coming up against the Stars once again. The Stars beat them last year on aggregate by 107 points to 77 points and they will be hopeful of doing it once again to make it 3 KO Cup wins on the bounce. The 1st leg will be away at Somerset on Friday 19th October and the 2nd leg will be at home on Wednesday 24th October.

1. Kevin Doolan

2. Lewis Bridger

3. Tomas Topinka

4. Daniel Nermark

5. Chris Holder

6. Mark Lemon

7. Trevor Harding

8. Adam Allott

9. Leigh Lanham

10. Chris Mills

11. Josef Franc

12. James Wright

13. Chris Schramm

14. Cameron Woodward

15. Shaun Tacey

16. Lee Complin who is now injured will be replaced by Kossa Smith

Big big shame about Complin being injured and not being able to ride, was looking forward to watching him in action and hoping he'd have a better meeting than his last at King's Lynn. Still I'm sure Kossa? Kozza Smith will have a good go. :D
