Slovenian Gp 2008

Recommended Posts

In a press conference before saturday's GP meeting in Krsko it was announced that Krsko will host the opening round of 2008 GP series. The meeting will be held on April 26th and is a part of a two year contract that AMD Krsko has with BSI (the contract is for the 2007 and 2008 meetings).

Slovenian GP was first last year too, around same weekend, was quite warm I seem to remember. Have been 5 times now and it's never rained once. Best to be around that time of the year or September as it's far too hot in the summer.

Definatly recommend Slovenia, beautiful scenery, good weather and fairly cheap. Only downside is really you need to hire a car to get to the track but I do know of people who have got the train. This year we flew into Trieste in Italy as the flight was a lot cheaper and just drove over the border, hour and 20 mins to Ljubljana.

They have upgraded a lot of the road from Ljubljana to Krsko from single carriage way to motorway now, took us from centre of Ljubljana one hour 15 mins doing a steady 110kmpr on Saturday, could probably do it in just over a hour doing the 130kmpr speed limit.
