How funny - I have been singing Belinda Carlisle songs too for the last couple of weeks !

Actually, it's bringing it all back to me how good she actually is !

It's my first time at Cardiff...have you been before Jenn?

I've been most years - missed 2 i think.

You will LOVE it!!

The POW is the place to be pre-meeting! Hope to see you there!

This is true

Ok I know you all think that it's really sad that I love to go to Cardiff for the weekend, believe me getting away from work, kids, him and generally just life is a real highlight at the moment.

Am looking forward to getting away from the day to day hassle even if it is only for a couple of days, enjoying the company of many friends and even some relatives that turn up on the Saturday, it really is my ideal way to relax and chill out.

(get the violins out now!!) I go nowhere on my own except work, have the kids with me wherever I go, so I look at this as "my time" might seem selfish to some but ..... this is where I'm not Mum, this is where I can be me! and I love it! :approve:

Everybody, but Mum's most of all, deserve days to themselves - me time. A time where you don't have to be someones Mum, wife etc. and can instead have a breather and just be someone's mate.

I for one hope that the whole weekend is brilliant for you. :D

Know that feeling Shazzybird.

I will still have my eldest with me but as he is nearly 15 now and an excellent tea/sandwich getter and bag carrier it's not too bad.

I still have work right up until Friday afternoon...pah!

Nice posts, Shazz and Bobbin'.

For the first time, we're leaving the boys at home this year and having a Mum and daughter weekend away. So it'll be our first boozy Cardiff with friends rather than a family weekend away.

This will be the first Cardiff without Mini BA since the first one, and will feel very strange.

15 is such a good age - old enough to do stuff on their own, but young enough to tell them what to do.

I too have to work until 17:15 on Friday - after putting in a 07:15-17:15 day today. Life is sooooooooo unfair some times! Sill -not longnow!

So why the heck am I taking my children with me!!!

But they tend to come everywhere with me when it comes to speedway and its a bit like London Witch and WvH.

The difference for me is I am not their taxi driver all weekend.

Its a chance for me to park the car and have a drink or two without worring about driving.

I really cant wait.

But now the public apology I have been threatening to make early- this forum brings so many friends together and so many of us want to meet up - so my apology is this -

I am sorry to all those I mistakenly ignore, forget your names or end up saying hello and moving on far to quickly.

So many friends to see and not enough time to do it.

So, please forgive me!!

How many others feel the same??

And as for lora - she will no doubt be fond in the smokers area doing more than just chatting!!!!
