Who's Going To Cardiff

Recommended Posts

LT - as she does not have he good grace to reply to you I will!!!

No - she is not staying there, SHE is staying in the Mercure Macdonald Lodge. WE have stayed there for a few years now and the staff look after us very well. Pop in for a drink - there is always a lot flowing!!!

Thanks Sandie. I've no idea what St David's is like, but I've got a good mate in Wales & he picks the tab up every year for the whole Grand Prix weekend, tickets, hotel the lot.....& he doesn't even like speedway. :approve:

 sorry Lt never saw your posting

No probs mate. As soon as I get back from Canada it's Johno's testimonial (yes, I'll be making a rare appearence at Brandon.....don't tell Gemini), then the following week it's Cardiff. I really must find some time to cut the bloody lawn.

LT.. if its the St David's hotel & Spa, its a bit dammed flash (5*). We did stay there in 2003 as we got a cracking deal on lastminute.com @ £100 for 2 nights room only. The rooms were absolutley enormous and had excellent views. The SPA also was good, and they have some excellent bath robes although a little expensive...

The building itself has an impressive Atrium that goes through the middle of the hotel, in fact it could be described as cavernous - lots of echo for an air horn in the early hours as my mate found out !!

Glad you got sorted. I'm sure you will sleep okay but just in case pack some ear plugs - in fact that might be a good idea for your son in the stadium anyway as it is very noisy with the air horns.

I can sleep on a washing line  My wife has ear plugs, and my son went last year and loved every minute. He's got some cracking ear defenders that we had to put on him outside the stadium! Looks like we'll have to keep them on him in bed as well!

Not at all. Been to every one so far, and once I've stopped buzzing, sleep will come easily. Thank you; you too!

I nearly had a baby last year  If she starts, its a race for the border! (no offence, Welsh people).

Dont worry SW - they couldnt take offence. Too many words to make sense of, so they would have stopped reading at the end of the first line!!!!!!!!!!:wink::o
