We cant wait, Work every weekend, havent had a full weekend off for two years, not seen any speedway this season and only 4 meetings in past two years.

Laddo is now old enough to spend the afternoon with his sts mates, many of whom he has never met and will be great to catch up with forum members we havent seen for a year or three even, and those from here we have never met.

Hilight of our year as always, even though it only lasts approx 16 hours on Saturday from start to finish.

Gonna be a great day.

I wanna meet Lady S an all but doubt she will have time to hobnob with us at POW will ya Aunty :( will try and bring a Seemond picture for you if you can:) (If that dont persuade her nothing will)

Quote from Nevs - No problem luv, you are forgiven, just give us Worzels a quick wave as you pass through the smoking area outside the Pow,then despatch Lora for a proper chat

LOL Nevs - you get more than a wave, you get a hug at least.

And as for lora - she will no doubt be fond in the smokers area doing more than just chatting!!!!

And - is it me or is the QUOTE facility knackered??????

EDIT - Nevs - why have you deleted your post? There was nothing wrong in it.

Had a better offer from Paulco-he sent me his phone number. :P

This is true

Ok I know you all think that it's really sad that I love to go to Cardiff for the weekend, believe me getting away from work, kids, him and generally just life is a real highlight at the moment.

Am looking forward to getting away from the day to day hassle even if it is only for a couple of days, enjoying the company of many friends and even some relatives that turn up on the Saturday, it really is my ideal way to relax and chill out.

(get the violins out now!!) I go nowhere on my own except work, have the kids with me wherever I go, so I look at this as "my time" might seem selfish to some but ..... this is where I'm not Mum, this is where I can be me! and I love it!

Understand exactly what you say (well from a male viewpoint  ), but I'm gonna be taking great pleasure from doing it the other way. Took our 4 year old last year expecting him to be a pain and to detract from everything, but he was glued to it all. He's now 5 and understands that bit more. I can't wait to see how much pleasure he's gonna get from it. Have done the getting on the lash bit before, but looking forward to the best of both worlds; a few beers, and seeing my son's wide open eyes

Mind you we're going to look like a confused family, with bits of Wimbledon and Bomber merchandise, and he hasn't made his mind up if he's wearing his home made Nicholls race jacket, a Somerset Rebels race jacket, or (if he continues behaving himself) the new race jacket we get from the Rugby club fayre. Birmingham Brummies a favourite for some reason  Thats without him flashing his Wacky Racer membership card around!

We're both using your terminology now, and as we're going Saturday morning its 3 sleeps 'til Cardiff :approve:

I can never remember the names of the people I meet so next time I meet them it's really awkward. They can remember my name while I am stood there thinking "I know you from somewhere, now where is it?" Then I listen to them for a while, nodding my head at what I think are the correct times until they mention something which triggers the memory...sure people think I am a little weird (ok I am weird :D ) as I seem a little off when they start talking and all of a sudden halfway through I am talking to them like a normal person! :D

Perhaps we should get pictures of you with people you meet so that there's evidence for you to peruse at your leisure over the next year?:P

*edit* reply to Shazzy

This must have been her unpopular year. Not exactly overwelmed with mates-must have been the head gear or her singing,or her blue trainer socks.

I can really associate with that Sue.

As they talk to you, your mind is rushing through every club and stadium and you look spaced out and eventually it clicks and you then have to re-cap and come alive.

So maybe we need an introduction - everytime you go to talk to some one - shake their hand and say Hello Im......... from the BSF!!!!! It will help me out no end!! PLEASE
