tigerblues
He might not be everyone's cup of tea, but anybody with half a brain cell can see that he has been the best this season. Every round he has shown he's a great rider with the consistency to go for gold and he's done it. Didn't used to like him very much but he's won me over with his professionalism, better attitude and his riding which is better than ever and he might throw the odd wobbly when things don't go his way, but it just shows his passion and we love him for it Nicki Pedersen - 2007 world champion, and worthy of it. Simply the best.
SpeedwayTShirts
Nicki winning the world title means hes practically unsellable. No-one can afford him, and we would be stupid to let him go for half his worth. Reading in the star it doesnt look like Eastbourne will want to pay for him as he is one of the 4 reasons why theyve lost around about £100,000. Well done to him anyway, true class all year. And I won my bet with Col <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Avtar Sandhu can afford him Congratulations Nicki, we're getting a 'Home Team' jingle ready for you for next season !! Seb the Snail
Nicki has been head and shoulders above the rest this season from the moment that the tapes went up in his opening ride in Lonigo. A true champion.

beesboybert
Nicki has been by far the best rider this season so deserves all the credit he gets. Well done Nicki On a side noth though it was interesting to hear him say in his interview that "he's not a very good defender and more of a hunter" Will be interesting to see how good a defender he can become over the winter in order to defend his title

Don't set them off again! Come to think of it most of them seem to have disappeared now the Wolves season has gone down the pan. What's happened to Stevebrum? saintschris
Just aswell he's off to pastures new next year then! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nickis not going anywhere he is ours n ours to stay!!!!! Newly crowned world champion Nicki Pedersen is ready to open negotiations for another season with Eastbourne Eagles. Pedersen clinched his second world title in fabulous style, winning the Slovenian Grand Prix in Krsko on Saturray. The Dane took 23 points from a possible 24 on the night and had seen off his only remaining rival for the oeverall crown, Australian Leigh Adams, before the end of the qualifying heats. The Eagles captain said: "It's fantastic, it's my biggest dream that comes true. I've worked so hard for this to happen to prove that the title I won in 2003 not just was a one timer. Now I've proved that for myself and everybody else." Pedersen is expected to show off the trophy at Arlington next Saturday when Eastbourne race against a Poole team featuring last year's world champion Jason Crump. Eagles fans will be keen to know whether the world's top rider will continue to be part of their team next season. But an answer to that is some way off yet. Pedersen, who rides regularly in four different leagues and also has a part-time deal in Russia, said: "I haven't even been thinking about anything like that. "I have got to negotiate with all my clubs and sponsors so it will be a hectic winter. "I need to make my mind up. It has been a tough year at Eastbourne because of injuries. "I am sure they will ask me what I think about making changes." Eagles' Lewis Bridger won a silver medal in the World Under-21 Team Cup, at the age of just 17. The Team GB quartet came second to Poland in the final in Germany. Bridger scored 11 points from five rides and Sussex-based Edward Kennett added a near-perfect 14. Great champion thou he is he's took piss out of eastie and there fans all year . I beg to differ with you Orion ! Nicki has served us well and has had no more absences than any other GP rider apart from genuine injuries. I am glad that he is looking to negotiate a new contract with the Eagles for 2008 Edited September 24, 2007 by sussex bulldog

I prefer Hans myself, completely comitted to his league racing. I'm not sure if that would go down well at Monmore. A lot of water under that bridge. What do you Wolfies think? What's happened to Stevebrum? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Our season went down the pan a long time ago, I guess some dont want to be reminded of it. Anyway, it'll mean more the next time we beat some of the good teams.

Thou nicky is the best rider in the world no team will ever win anythink with him in it . The reason why we did not win anything this year was more to do with injuries than Nicki Pedersen. We had David Norris and Dean Barker missing for 90% of the season and then Stefan Andersson just when he had hit form. Add to this absences from Davey Watt and Cameron Woodward for their injuries and the only peron left is Lewis Bridger who should have been scoring at reserve but who has had to cope with riding as a second string. When Nicki was absent we had guests and Davey seemed to go up a geer to cover the main man.
Reviresco
Let's just hope that now you've grown up and shaken off the bad attitude a few of your fans follow suit <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Here, here! Congratulations to Nicki a thoroughly deserved World Title and one which looked to be on the cards from the time he dropped the clutch off of Gate 4 in Heat 4 back on April 28th in Lonigo. If he can maintain the standards of 2007 and stay clear of injury, there is no reason to suspect that he could not dominate for the next few years. For the sake of the competition, I personally hope that some of the other riders can raise their performance next season; that Gollob gives it one last big effort, that Crumpie comes back to some sort of form and that riders like AJ, Hampel (if nominated), Harris & Nicholls improve and get some consistency. That is the future, 2007 belongs to Nicki Pedersen. A dominant World Champion.
