Col
Brightening up a little now. Any predictions? Louis, Lyons & Hamill* to be the spoilers, neither quite have the speed of F Lindgren/Harris/Nicholls/P Karlsson but know where to put their bike on the track to make it awkward to pass. * - on his current bike. Could a good showing from Nermark see him earn a spot in the Wolves line-up next year?
stevebrum
looking forward to this - as i always do. PK all the way for me with bomber 2nd and nicholls 3rd. I feel woffinden will suprise a few and finish in the top 5. looking forward to seeing klindt again and ludvig - wolf of the future no doubt. Col
Weather is fine now. If your gonna push me for a winner, Bomber was the quickest last week but if he's fully fit I'd fancy Lindgren to take this.

Col
Bit of a disappointment to be honest, there wasn't enough dirt on the outside of turns 3 & 4 for a meeting where passing is paramount. The typical Olympique scorers where Lyons & Louis! Gaurentee every year someone will score 0, 3, 0, 3, 0 or 3, 0, 3, 0, 3 because of the handicapd nature of the meeting. Surprise packets were probably Hansen & Nermark who both rode well. Lawson had a fair night as did Woffinden & Kerr. Klindt looks an exciting rider, certainly a little harem scarem in his first ride went looking for dirt. Ludvig Lindgren didn't look bad but Casper Wortman was well off the pace. T.N.T.
Freddie was well worth of his second title with some great racing and despite one poor ride, he showed he is ready to become the new king of Monmore. Scott was worthy of his second place while Bomber was pretty good, but couldn't find the drive he usually finds around the boards. Daniel Nermark showed yet again that he is good enough to ride in the EL and must be considered for 2008. Nicolai Klindt looked useful, but like Harris was looking for a better wide line, Casper Wortman made a number of mistakes but did show potential and would be a useful 7 or 8 point PL rider. Ludvig Lindgren however looked a great prospect and attacked the track well. Billy managed to just get by him, but LL hit straight back and rode a great line to beat a home track heat leader. A definate for the future. Overall, not a great passing night as usual, but that was partly down to have a field of riders that have done plenty of laps around Monmore in the past and the track was quick and riders like Chris Kerr were hard to pass when they hit the front. Kenneth Hansen was left kicking his one bad ride that could have seen him on the rostrum.
superguest
I was impressed by Ludvig Lindgren, he looked really smooth and can ride the track inside and outside, not bad for a 17 year old on his first visit! Klindt looks exciting but will need time to settle. Freddie was great
Silver Bee
After hearing Adam Shields had pulled out decided to get myself to Wolves Decent racing, Daniel Nermark was good value, shame he's settled in the PL as I quite enjoy watching him race, not sure how he generated so much speed yesterday as he seems to lock up coming out the bends which usually only works on the white line. Lindgren was a worthy winner but bit disappointed with the track preparation, did mean the big points scorers worked bloody hard for their points though! Klindt looks exciting but will need time to settle. Freddie was great <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Especially when interviewed on the rostrum about his performance, he said "we couldn't really have a Coventry rider win it could we ? " Good on yer Freddie, turning into a proper Wolf !
Bagpuss
The wife and I decided at the last minute to go to this one and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Have always liked Monmore as a race track (went twice in Lynn's BL / EL days) and considered the handicap system an interesting concept and so it proved. As others have said the track could probably have done with a bit more bite but we are in the middle of October after all! Of course we were primarily supporting Dan (he didn't disappoint) and apart form the big guns I was very impressed with Klindt, Hansen and younger Lindgren. Kerr was also very controlled compared to when we have seen him in PL action (and not just at Lynn) On the downside where on earth did the get the centre green announcer? Not my cup of tea at all
Col
Bagpuss meet Porky. He used to annoy me, his dancing and his last lap 'Horse racing style' commentary still do. But I kinda miss him when he's not there now. He's also a damn sight better than the centre green guy at Perry Barr. I thought the guy in the Pint Glass suit was fairly amusing myself. 21st century heathen
Col meet Yorkie. He used to annoy me at Coventry...and now I get him at The Barr too. The stand-out moment of this meeting was the shockingly poor riding by Tai. There is no excuse for not raising your hand when the bike packs-up on the straight. Only the skill of the following riders prevented a Reading style pile-up. It could have been absolutely horrific. Hats off to all three for missing him (God only knows how), especially to Scott who was unsighted. And before anyone says it, his youth is no excuse whatsoever. Surely raising your hand is right up there with laying the bike down safely as the first, and most important, safety lessons any rider learns. I sincerely hope that someone had a 'word' with him after the race. Rather surprised if his fellow riders weren't there to 'explain' it to him. Apart from that it was a fair result on a decent night of action. Nermark, Hansen and Baby Lindgren did well (outside of the top riders). Louis and Lyons the biggest disappointments. They were the ultimate gating-tarts all night. The rest were pretty much as expected. Race of the night goes to PK and Scotty.

21st century heathen
If I am mistaken I apologise to him most sincerely. If he did it must have been very late indeed as neither I, nor those immediately around me, saw it.
