Whatever Tai decides in future years, he IS the British U-18 Champion and deserves to be there possibly ahead of James Wright, but Wright has more EL experience.

Strong British Team, could be able to challenge the Poles today - I wouldn't be surprised to see them win. Even on a big quarter mile oval as is Abensberg. I don't think any of the Polish team riders have ridden this track before, but some of the Brits have, and Oakes knows it very well from previous visits.

I hope our German boys can beat the Czechs for third place.

I say: 1st GB, 2nd PL, 3rd GER, 4th CZ :)

A lot depends on which Lubos turns up and which Wölbert is there today. Both have the ability to go through the meeting pretty well unbeaten, but also can end up with just a handfull of points.I hope Kevin gets it together over the winter and rethinks his idea of concentrating on Poland where he is getting very few heats. At this stage of his career, that isn't doing him much good

With 1 heat to go Poland have secured the victory.

Congratulations to the Poles but with the scores so close a huge well done to the British lads.

The future of British speedway really does look good if you weigh them up against the Poles.

Not so depresing as we may think

Well done again Brits - hope you feel proud of your acheivement :D

Team GB have the U-18's British Champion on the sidelines, Daniel King is obviously struggling with his bikes and James Wright isnt exactly pulling up trees !

Why oh Why wasnt Tai tried out here ?

Good effort by the team to lose by just 4 points in Poland, but it will be interesting to see why we didn't use a quality rider when he is there.

Well they wouldn't have known Danny was going to have an engine failure, so they couldn't legislate for that. Tai wasn't part of the main team so couldn't be used unless one of the others pulled out injured, which they didn't. And he just wasn't picked for the main team. I imagine James was included this time because it'll be his last U21 tournament. Tai will no doubt get the nod next year, providing he keeps his nationality. But you can't say Tai would have scored any better anyway.

From the results it looks like a good effort from team GB who led for most of the way, but in the end the Poles just nicked it.

Here here. Its always easy to be wise after the event!
