As Lakeside is a posh Elite League track,i do believe a weight restriction is in force

with regard to Fathers acting as mechanics for their Sons.

Its all about image in the pits :o

Obviously thats the reason you were not invited :D:D

I'm told the reason for your weight loss Pat(or is that Fat) is that youv'e stopped eating Ginsters and Northern Rock are probably the biggest share holder in Ginsters hence the collapse.

Now i have been informed the 500cc bikes will be involved in a Academy meeting, and the 250s will be holding a pairs event .

So on Friday night i can attend my usual Weight Watchers meeting and Nigel Butler can collect his usual bulk order from the Pie Shop in Skegness.:lol:

No it is not for the selected few to ride there is Lakeside vs Eastbourne Junior Match 250cc Pairs and the men in Black, meetings like this are few and far between and a lot of effort and planning has gone into this, have you asked your promotor to put a meeting on for you!!

Hmm, surely EVERY Speedway meeting is, to some extent, only for a "select", "invited" few.... Indeed one could say the same about any sporting event one goes and sees!!

Sadly I can't make it Friday - good luck to everyone taking part but especially to young Marc.

Well down to all at Lakeside for putting this on..: the club's commitment to young riders this year has been much improved, getting back to the good old days...

Hi Montana

As far as I am aware Lakeside and Eastbourne are trying to field Junior sides which they have done 500s,the meeting has been put on to raise awareness asI am sure by your comments this needs to be done if you go to your local club who you support and ask if they are prepared to put one on and include yourself it should go forward.

All The Best for the future

What a great night youngsters riding at the start of their careers(11-14), the riders of tomorrow (14 and up) and the veteran riders, Some of those old machines are amazing my favs were the 2 1928 douglas bikes, nearly 80 years old and looking stunning and still being ridden. The youngsters were well looked after (of which my lad Adam was one) by the promotion, and their riding is coming along well with the plus point of riding at different tracks. The riders for tomorrow look like they are going to bring us some pride in a few years, hopefully the youth and dads will keep all this momentum rolling. C'mon BSPA get things done we dads have invested in bikes etc 250 and/or 500's why do the tracks for the U15's have to be so far away (Weymouth 4.5-5hrs and Northside almost 6 hrs) why can't they be more central?? some of us can't do it, with the need to work on a Saturday and a Monday morning some of us need more than a 2 or 3 weeks notice for meetings this far away as I for one being self employed need to plan time off a long way in advance I now can't just drop everything.
