crazysue
21st, Tobi has a very near 6 point average, albeit most of that scored at reserve. In the last fortnight at home since moving up into the main team (at number 4), he has scored 8+1 (against Coventry) and 9+3 (against Swindon), admitedly his away average is not so good and he had an especially bad night against Wolves on Monday. As I said before, very difficult one to choose, Smoli's form has been very good this season as has Tobi's, with maybe Smoli just edging it in league terms as he has been at number 4 for most the season while Tobi has not, while Tobi's qualification through to the GP qualifier final also having to count somewhere. Whoever is chosen, you can bet that fans of the rider not chosen will be saying...well xxxxx could have beaten xxxx in that heat.
Guest PanthersChamp06
From what I have seen from both Riders this season, I would go for Kroner.
SCB
Whoever is chosen, you can bet that fans of the rider not chosen will be saying...well xxxxx could have beaten xxxx in that heat. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wouldn't it be nice for once for everyone to agree that both are deserving of the wild card and whoever doesn't get it can feel slightly unlucky. Surely the one whos not wildcard will be 1st reserve?
podster
Sorry if this is anywhere else but who do we reckon will be the wildcard for the German GP? Despite my obvious bias (C'mon The Bees!), my money would be on Martin Smolinski but I guess Heffenbrock cant be discounted. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Henning Loof!!!! Got a full 15 the other week. Both have a valid argument for their inclusion really.
hagonshocker
Kroner is a better prospect of the 3 of them...dont think smolinski will rise above what he is now... a reserve in a top 5 racesuit
T.N.T.
Egon Muller. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Always preferred Karl Maier myself due to his days at Birmingham. However Gerd Riss is an ex Wolf and like KM has won World Titles, so maybe he deserves another shot at the 100k. Due to results this year, I would have to say Tobias Kroner should get the place ahead of Smolinski (1st res) and Hefenbrock (2nd res) Any chance this will turn into a Norden

Robyn1972
was speaking with Tobi on Thursday night about the GP and the possibility of the Wild Card. He's not heard anything yet but one thing he DID say was that he'd be delighted if either he or Martin got it as they are good friends and Martin getting it would be almost as good as getting it himself! iris123
Seems like Christian Hefenbrock has the wc.A couple of different sources at Abensberg over the past 2 days have heard this. One from someone speaking to Smoli, who confirmed Hefe has got it.Official announcement tomorrow though,so i believe edit:The reason being Christian is thought by the promoter to be a better draw-card as he comes from the main speedway area in Germany. The old East Germany Edited September 23, 2007 by iris123

Sandie
Good luck to Christian. Obviously I would have loved it to be Martin as we would have been cheering on three Bees but it was obviously a purely a selfish reason. So good luck Christian and here's hoping Lindack breaks a finger nail in his first ride, pulls out and Martin comes in!!!
London Witch
Good luck to Christian. So good luck Christian and here's hoping Lindack breaks a finger nail in his first ride, pulls out and Martin comes in!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sounds good then Martin and Tobi get two rides each. Sorted! I'm disappointed that Tobi didn't get the nod as wild card but good luck to Christian.
