rickmiller
Sorry if this is anywhere else but who do we reckon will be the wildcard for the German GP? Despite my obvious bias (C'mon The Bees!), my money would be on Martin Smolinski but I guess Heffenbrock cant be discounted.
Saint Rob
What about Tobi Kroner????? I believe he is in the GP Qualifier. Something that Snoli and Heff aren't
Liverstam
Tobi Kroner has got the wild card, from what I hear. Bit shocking to me as Martin Smolinskis' been excellent for Hammarby this season against top opposition.
tommy
I agree, I think Smolinski would be the best bet for the WC considering he's the most effective German in both Swedish and British league. Hefe second choice.
beesboybert
Plus Smoli was Germany's star in the World cup last year
2ndbendbeerhut
Tobi Kroner is performing superb for the Witches at present. Also he is the only German in the Gp qualifier so that has to count for something too. Good luck to him if correct about him being the WC. 21st century heathen
Sounds as though he's been given the nod based entirely on his appearance in the GP qualifier rather than taking into account the league form over the season. Sir Jasper
What a joke for German Speedway is..... they have Smoli who is starting to become a very good rider in the Swedish and British leagues and they put in Kroner! Obviously not taking into account the injuries Smoli was riding with at the back end and to the mid of this season....

Hope it is Tobi, he has certainly done his job for Ippo this year and is not undeserving of a place.

Obviously not taking into account the injuries Smoli was riding with at the back end and to the mid of this season.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure if you have noticed but Tobi has also been having a great season in the British leagues too......moving out of reserve into the main body of the team and increasing his average by almost 2 points. Personally I am undecided between Smoli and Tobi, both have done well this season and both deserve the wild card, maybe Tobi being in the qualifiers was the thing that finally decided it. Saint Rob
Have the Coventry fans noticed Kroners double figure scores at reserve in a poor, struggling team????

How old are they all? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't follow their scores abroad. I commented before anyone mentioned how Tobi had been riding elsewhere. My vote would go to Smoli based on recent form. He's got a 6 point average riding at number 4 during Cov's winning run (only a few matches were at reserve). I don't think Tobi can match that, but I could be wrong. Ippo fans? Not a lot to choose between them at a guess.
Little Nicki
Not sure of the merits of any of them, but it would be good for Ipswich and their fans to have a rider in a GP this, fairly barren, year. It must hurt a bit to see ex-Ipswich riders like Gollob, Hampel, Andersen & Nicholls competing at the top level, but for various reasons, not representing the club. Liverstam
I do not know, but I seriously doubt that Kroner could beat the likes of Crump, Holta, Hancock, Davidsson and Kolodziej the way Smolinski has been doing home and away in the latter part of summer - early fall over here. But then ofcourse I do not know much about Tobias Kroner

Robyn1972
Tobi's done well beating riders of considerably more experience that him to fight his way to the Qualifier final - so what if this has been contributing factor if he's been chosen? Did the other two not enter, or have they been knocked out? My fingers are crossed!
