Gp Challenge

Recommended Posts

Any views on who will get through people,i'm going for any out of bjerre, kasprazak, bjarne or lindgren, although if one of first 3 miss out,imo they'll get a WC next year.

And BTW is it only me or do people think current GP riders should be stopped from competing in that years gp challenge because they are not good enough for the gp this year so what will change if they make it through to next year.

Didn't notice iversen in there tbh,i think he'll likely make it now with bjerre and pedersen, hopefully with  WC's going to kasprazak and lindgren

I suspect that is the nightmare scenario for the FIM and IMG, but, of course, on an Olsen special at Vojens it is entirely possible.

A clean sweep for the Danes, would mean five Danes in the SGP next season and that would narrow the scope when it comes to Nominations. As you suggest, I believe Kasprzak and Lindgren are almost certainly destined for the SGP next season, but I rather think the powers that be would prefer them to make it via Vojens. If they don't, expect fun and frollicks to surround the Nominations.

It doesn't look like Jonsson, Hampel and Zagar are going to be top eight in the SGP this season, while the former British champion (and the current British champion) could yet slip out of the top eight.

Personally, I'm hoping that Gafurov can put on a good showing and claim one of the positions, but I think the ideal scenario for the FIM and IMG would be a top three of Lindgren, Kasprzak and one of the Danes.

Was just thinking the very same thing... ;)

I'll be crossing my fingers for NKI, Jonas and Bjerre, but I think it'll be Bjarne, KK and Lindgren, though I wouldn't rule out Bjerre, Dryml and Rooboy...

It's you! Just ebcause you're 9th in the GP's doesn't mean you're not good enough

IF the top 15 riders in the World were in the 2007 GPs, why shoudl they not ride in the qualifier or are you suggesting that the riders who ARE 9th to 15th in the World should miss out while the riders 16th to 21st shoudl have their places?!

Obviously, we can't prove who without doubt who the top 16 riders in the World are, even personally I'd say my choices change day by day and track by track!

I don't think Kronner will qualify, he has said he's going to go there and have fun, leanr fomr it but he is not ready for the GPs so if he is on the verge of qualifying he may just have a weird last or EF and qualify as a reserve instead. On the other hand, he may get wrapped up in it all and go for it.

I would actually love for one of the suprise packages to make it, one of them 3 would be great, young riders who could just from time to time spoilt it for the bigs boys in the GP's.

Would also love to see Renat Gafurov qualify and as much as I dislike him, I thikn Fredie Lindgren would be a good addition to the series.

Totally agree, I don't suppose its worth worrying about until it happens, but if Lindgren and KK have to rely on nominations then it means the scramble for a top 8 finish will become even more hectic. Previously those finishing in the first 12 have often got the nod, but it might be top 11 at least this season.

Personally would love to see one of the Russians get through but can't see it happening at a track like Vojens.

No i don't want to see 16th to 21st in,the likes of laukkanen, gjedde etc aren't good enough for the GP series, but i do think that riders who make the top 8 should be stopped from entering the qualifiers that year,as i feel that if they aren't good enough to qualify why should they take that place off another rider that could have the talent to finish in the top 8.

But the GP's should be finding the best rider in the World, NOt the best rider in thr World who was not 9-15th the eyar ebfore!! Which would be what you'd have!

Nicki Pedersen would not have been World Champion using your "rule"!!!
