TwoMinuteWarning
I think the fact that Travel Plus have nearly 200 going to Bydgoszcz and Ostrow next weekend and staying a 5-star Sheraton Hotel says it all!
TheCedarMan
I have just got back as I was away on business yesterday, looked at this post and have just replied to Basil's (James Easter's) post which I thought was a little over the top but appeared to be taken in the spirit it was mean't. However imaging my suprise when after making the post I noticed I had the following personal messages message 1: You may be interested to know that the fault with this is entirely with post office. The client called us at 5.30pm,when teh office was closed, and the matter was dealt with imemdiately. It should not have been aired on this board, and the client has accepted the sitaution and apologised. I note your comments about "Fawly Towers" This I find offensive and litigeous. I have spoken with our lawyers, they find this to be a prima case of slander and they have suggested we institute proceedings against you immediately. I am contacting the moderator of this board for your contact and you will be hearing from our legal people in due course. I do not take this lightly, you have made a seriously legally damaging remark, and I trust that you will have the funds to accept the issuance writ which will be heading your way. then message 2: Good afternoon. I gave you until midday Friday to to make a full and undiluted apology on the forum for your damaging, unethical and untrue statements regrading my company. You have chsoen not to do so. I have thus instructed Messrs Birketts Solicitors to issue a writ against you. I have an appointment on Monday to lodge a £5,000 bond to cover the INITIAL legal and investigative costs. It is my intention to seek punitive damages of £25,000 against you, plus my legal costs. You must realise that any company must protect their reputation and you have chosen to publically damage this company without any knowledge of the actual events. This my friend will prove to be a very, very expensive mistake. If you publically apologise on the forum, with any double meanings then I may well reconisder, but there is no guarantee. I am advised that legally the owners of this forum if served with an injunction must release your details. Unlike you, I have my name and contact available for anyone to discus any problem....that includes you. JAMES EASTER TRAVEL PLUS TOURS So I was wondering if Sandie, Diesel, Rico, cec838 or The Know have received this personal message also? Both these personal messages have been received 1st September So my reply to you Mr Easter is no different from the post just above this one. I do not hide behind an unknown user name I am in fact known to quite a few people on this site. If you want my contact details just ask and I'll forward them to you, it isn't a problem. Phil Risling may still even have my contact details if you ask him! My post that appears to have caused offence was my personal opinion with regard to your post when someone was quite obviously panicking over their tickets, I interpreted your post to be abrasive and unsympathetic. The comment regarding Marmande is a fact and myself and a colleague where looking to book up for next years trip, the fact we may well decide not to travel with your company is a personal matter which was stated in the "offending post". At no time did I say anything against TP Tours, just commented on your attitude which came across in the post.

Gemini
Strewth! This has all gone a bit over the top following a simple question in the first place. I wouldn't worry too much TheCedarMan as he's missed the 't' out of Fawlty so it won't stand up in court.

You see I actually care passionatelyy about my reputation, the tours we produce, the quality of our product...everything.There have been times we have lost a great deal of money, just by keeping faith with our clients. That is why I am like I am. I genuinely think the remarks made were harsh..not fair, and not understanding what had happened...but hey ho..there are wors ethings out there.Equally if we are big enough to do this type of product then sometimes remarks like this come with the country...and i frankly did not think before reacting..but there agin..I do care. The situation is closed...I have asked my girls in the office to give me a good smack, I will contact the individual concerned and finalise everything, and maybe even send him a Fawlty Towers dvd....Try Phoenix Nights its just as good. There are always losers in this situation...never winners.... But let's at least make a winner...we helped raise £600 for Steady on our tours. Today i am sending him another £50.as a guesture and a lesson to me not to be so passsionate and white/black about things. hey ho...at least it makes teh woldl go round. And at least I know when I have been a prat !!

Sandie
OMG - I havent been on this thread since I read the problem was sorted and I am amazed with what I have just read. Not going to comment further on all the allegations stuff as the post I wanted to see from Spiegal is there. (An apology for their original post that was a little OTT - in my opinion) I fully understand that TPT are passionate about what they do and as I understand that the tours are brilliant. I personally enjoy planing the trips myself, we have done for years - family and speedway - and to me its all part of the fun. So, Im pleased an apology has been made. Superguest is happy as everything is sorted and now all we ALL need to do, is head of to Poland and have a bl**dy good time.
