iris123
Aki Ala-Riihimäki is also out I'd suspect because he had a serious illness a couple of months ago <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just reading about Riihimäki on the Bahnsport site. Was going to pick up an Enduro bike.Went by train and collapsed in the road after leaving the train station and was in a coma for two days.He couldn't speak or move when he woke up.And it seems they still don't know the cause! Other news is that Franky Zorn is being sponsored and will be test rider for French Tyre manufacturer Mefo. They plan to develope a new tyre for the back to go along with the front wheel tyre they developed a few years ago. Conkers
iris123 - I had an e-mail from Roland Haupt (The huge bear of a guy from Berlin!) who was going on a trip to Sweden for the Santa Cup. Looks like he's having a reduced Ice Racing Trip. Looking at Mr Es photos I wonder how he gets so low on some of the photos. He must be almost level with the outside fence. He certainly takes some spectacular shots. The wide angle one of the track has given me some ideas for the future too.

P-A Lindström being highest placed home rider certainly puts him forward as the "new" guy in Swedish Ice Racing. Perhaps Mark Uzzell could give more info about him? f-s-p
Actual heat details will without a doubt give more insight to what has happened. These were GP-style cup points for the series. From what I read on the isracing.net guestbook Aakko won the B-final and progressed in to the A-final. Posa was disqualified in the B-final for crossing the inside line. I heard that Aakko still rides the same frame that fell in to pieces last season. He has made some modifications and updates but you can still call it the same frame. Edited December 28, 2007 by f-s-p
