The 2007 Finnish final at Oulu has been confirmed and is staged on the 29th of December starting at 6 pm. 2008 final will be held sometime in the spring at Seinäjoki.

The way Krasnikov has been going, he has to start out as favourite, but Pavel Tsjajka is a rider worth looking out for. He scored well in the first round of the Russian League last weekend and was the only rider to beat Nikolai in Blagovesjtsjensk (I don't count NKs exclusion).

Thanks for those results. Not a lot of real surprises, but Dmitri K beating his older brother has to be one of them. Still looks like Krasnikov is going like a train, and it will take a massive upset for him not to retain the World Championship.

Like you say no big surprises.Baltachev doing well on his home track.Didn't do too bad last year in the World Championship and might improve this year.Good to see Bulankin still mixing it with the best.And in Shadrink,Arkhipov,Krysov and i think it was the Khomitsevitch and Ivanov brothers team mate at Togliatti,Karachintsev who Bahnsport refered to as the new shooting star.Well he only just made it through,but he is there

It has got a little colder, hopefully it'll be a better season than last year with the weather.
