German Speedway Fan
@ Conkers should be the best way. I traveled for a week of holiday by train from Karlsruhe to Saalfelden via. Salzburg. From Salzburg its 60-75 minutes by train. Try to get a room at lenzing. Its totaly near the track. If not Taxi isn't so much expensive or go by bus to "Saalfelden Lenzing Schule" Then its just a walk to the track.

The only other date I can add is the Roloef Thijs Bokaal on Friday 7th March is Assen According to the Erfurt Website, there won't be any racing there in 2008 as it's Easter the weekend after Berlin, and there are no suitable dates before or after available. Looks like the Golden Spike Series has bitten the dust for 2008! I just hope the weather turns cold this winter! Conkers
Those photos were good DGT! Excellent pics. Those new leathers on Ivanov and Khomitsevich look very smart too, looking forward to seeing them in action in March. Does anyone know if they are showing this meeting on Russian TV and does anyone have a link? Iris123? Failing that a link for the results over the weekend? Franky Zorn is off to Sweden this week for some testing and a bit of practice, as he hasn't been invited to Russia for this meeting. whilst Roger Newton was telling me that the Brits have only one place in the World Championship (as usual), and one place in the European Championship instead of the two they had last year. DutchGrasstrack
Yep, only 1 Brit; Quali 2 Saalfelden (Austria). How many Brits are doing Ice racing btw Conkers ?
Conkers
As far as I know, there are four in Graham Halsall, Mark Uzzell, Roger Newton and Rob Irving, but Roger did say there were two others, one a mate of Rob, and the other someone from somewhere in the North. Perhaps Toonarmy could fill in the blanks. What about it, eh Malcolm? BTW ToonArmy, are you planning to spanner during the Ice season? EDIT: To avoid confusion! iris123
You are forgetting Conkers that Baraboshkin seems to do very well in this meeting, then goes downhill from here. Not sure why.If it is down to the track or his fitness.Once the others get race fit, perhaps he gets left behind Good to see Bauer and Tschatschin doing ok. And looking at the heats something must have happened to Krasnikov as he finished behind D.Ivanov and M.Krekau plus the other rider was Laguta who didn't start Edit:Have just seen that Krasnikov was excluded for crossing inside the line Edited November 17, 2007 by iris123
Conkers
Can you recommend a good translation website? The one I just tried kept mentioning seagulls and nanoseconds for this meeting! Got to agree on Barabushkin, as he is pretty useless come March. Good 5th place for Bauer though. Still think that Krasnikov would have won had he not crossed the inside line. The Khomitsevichs and Ivanovs seem to be starting slowly too! Anyone know what happened with Laguta?
