bubbe
dammit! I looked forward to heat nine and swedish television SKIPS HEAT NINE AND TEN! gah... I hate that they start after the real start and then catch up during the semifinals... :| and I missed the summary of the whole GP... turned on the tv when the 10th heat just finished. ;P dammit! anyway, I think AJ did a great job reaching the semis and Leigh Adams... congratulations to your third win this year.. hagonshocker
Some good racing despite a terrible track. I rarely get excited by Grands Prix and tonight was no exception. The whole circus is just dull, dull, dull. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why do you watch it then??
Mateusz
Gollob....'very happy...many points...very good' hehe '...high in qualifications...' Anyway, the guy is back - can't wait the Bigjosh GP Edited August 25, 2007 by Mateusz
hagonshocker
Another fantastic result for LA whatever the outcome of this years title he must now believe that he is capable still of winning a world title before he retires?! Grand prix wise he looks a different rider than before .Good on yer mate

richsimpson
Quite a good GP tonight, hope Hans is ok. Maybe he will come to Coventry next year with Nicki? Heres hoping Great move from Nicki on Hans, text book Track seemed to be very wet after grading, not well prepared IMO. Leigh looked super fast from the start, no suprise he won tonight. Just not enough points taken of Nicki who is undoubtadely the best rider of 2007 in the series. Really happy to see Gollob have a nother good round. Hope he gets a win next time in Poland, fantastic rider when he is on form! Bomber tried to go just a bit too wide! LOL, nice try, better luck next time! Can't fault the guy for trying. Real shame to see greg having such a bad run
tocha
Good performance from Scott who has come on strongly over the last three GPs and should now finish comfortably in the top eight. Chris was unlucky as he was leading when Hans went down but Hans is not an round -the-outside rider. Sam summed it up by saying Chris did not have a plan for the re-run by trying to close in on the first bend rather than stick to the outside. Pity because he could have reached the semis then who knows what. He will have to put in some solid performances for the rest of the series. He has lost touch with the top five and is in danger of being sucked into the chasing group. Can't make out what is wrong with Greg, although we saw the true rider at last in his final heat. No-one seems to know his reasons for parting company with Reading and he has not been the same rider since. It is a shame that Leigh appears to have left it too late this year. He will need Nicki to have a disasterous meeting if he is to win the title. I was at the Lakeside-Swindon match the other week and couldn't recall anyone sweeping to such an effortless maximum there before.

Once again the guys at the top of the leaderboard all ride in the British league. Many riders moan about the amount of meetings they have to ride over here but maybe there's just something in the theory that regular meetings keeps the riders sharp? Grachan
Another fantastic result for LA whatever the outcome of this years title he must now believe that he is capable still of winning a world title before he retires?! Grand prix wise he looks a different rider than before .Good on yer mate <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what I was thinking. Probably too late this year as Nicki just needs to do what he did tonight and he'll be home, but if Leigh carry on like this next year then that elusive title could finally be his. I'm quite shocked Hans Andersen was allowed to ride after that crash actually. Someone could have had a lot to answer for there.
beercellar
just watched a repeat off last nites meeting, hoping they might recovered the missing hts 5 - 8 from latvian tv, but no such luck, does any one no if there is a link to latvian tv site that filmed it , love to see the missing heats. cheers
alan_boon
Why do you watch it then?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, it's speedway on the TV! You always live in hope that there'll be some good racing, and there mostly is, but I find both the cult of personality around individual riders at the expense of team racing, and the mostly one-sided competition (how many times have we had a runaway winner?) to be horrible in extremis. Maybe I'm an old fuddy duddy, but I much preferred the old system, despite its flaws.
Shortcrust
yeah it is a big shame why didnt pedersen have a crap meeting! Adams on fire again though Nicki wouldnt want to slip up <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah Adams was on fire, and full credit to the bloke. Pity he didn't pull his finger out sooner then he might not have to worry so much about Nicki Pedersen leading the standings.
Jancarz
No one has mentioned Laguta yet - what an oustanding wildcard performance, really added something to the meeting.

Yeah sort of agree with that ......... lol Just need Pedersen to have a sh*t meeting, I think I will wish one on him hahahaha ............ where's me crystal ball No one has mentioned Laguta yet - what an oustanding wildcard performance, really added something to the meeting. hyderd
N Pedersen is having a V Good GP,but last night reminded me how two faced he is,in Malilia he(N Pedersen)threw his toys out of his pram when H Andersen rode him out to the fence, even though Hans did leave him JUST enough room. Last night he (N Pedersen) took L Adams out in the exact spot but left L Adams NO ROOM,Leigh delt with the matter on the track.
Anders
No one has mentioned Laguta yet - what an oustanding wildcard performance, really added something to the meeting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have scrolled through the comments from last night's Grand Prix and was surprised that it took so long for people to mention him. Fully agree with you Jancarz, he did really add something. Well done Laguta! Overall a decent meeting I think, certainly much better than last year's meeting in Daugavpils which wasn't any good if my memory serves me.
