Catalan
Am I the only one surprised that today's riders can't ride a track with dirt on it? Only Adams seemed really at home in the early stages, perhaps because he's old enough to have ridden grippy tracks when racing wasn't about speed (although you'd expect Louis to do alright by that reasoning...) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Kelvin did say that Mildura is always very deep and we all know where Leigh Adams is from. Olympic Park is on the Mighty Murray River Floodplain, occasionally the river likes to go to the Races! http://www.pictures.libraries.vic.gov.au/s...vent/10151.html

The Third Man
If this meeting was held anywhere other than KL not a bad word would be said I bet IMO. You are quite correct, just a shame some Sheffield fans can't let this vindictiveness against KL go, nothing to be jealous of Im sure, yes they are making a go of it, but thats not something to be jealous of, any promotion can do the same if they have the passion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> what have sheffield to be jelous of? wouldnt have gone to the ELRC anyway, at £20 was too expensive, (and we ended up with a great match against birmingham instesd anyway) however we would all like to know why it was moved from sheffield, as i think all speedway supporters would. BigFatDave
And the last picture you could find was 1931? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is Australia, SCB, we've still got wind-up Cameras! What's the difference between an Australian zoo and an English zoo? An Australian zoo has a description of the animal on the front of the cage along with a recipe. Conkers
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the BSPA Statement about the ELRC. Sadly I can't copy it: BSPA Press Statement

Bagpuss
Have been away since Friday and as expected lots of OTT immature negativity in this thread! Buster does one too many laps with the water bowser and people go beserk! Yes it was his cock up (which he explained to the thousands there on the mic) but unfortunately it wasn't until the riders kicked off that that tool Steve Brandon let the tractors on to sort it all out. Thereafter it was probably the best domestic racing SKY have shown this year, plenty of riders going for it on a track with plenty of room and grip. In a couple of heats all four riders were bunched together for most of the race, very seldom seen at Lynn in the PL. Was hoping Bomber or Watt could win as they were the most exciting on the night but NP was a different class and certainly deserved it, well done to him. Trees
I dont really understand why he had to issue a statement TBH Cos, apparently, some media sources have said that it was SKY's fault that the track was like it was ...................... Mind you I'd have thought after the very first race it was clear that the track wasn't right and it should have been put right before any more racing took place rather than waiting until the usual grade after heat 4. From our vantage point on turn 1 we could see that there was a wet, slick mid track line before the meeting started, I'm sure the powers that must have too, such a shame the meeting wasn't held up before a wheel was turned but there ya go ................ This meeting was very poor and it wasnt just down to the track, The ELRC is a meeting past its sell by date pure and simple.
Bagpuss
I haven't seen many better domestic meetings ON SKY in 2007 SUPERACE. Maybe you have the hump because none of your riders could be bothered to put in an appearance? Take away the first five heats and it was great stuff, plenty of commitment and good racing. Yes it was a pity that several pulled out but those who were there gave it their all and produced some great action. Whether or not the ELRC is past its sell by date is another debate, but personally I think it should be held earlier in the season (as they tried to do at Poole last year) before the GP begins. Chris
Pure comedy! Brilliant! Absolute farce due to the umpa lumpa and he was like a hedgehog lost and scared in the bright lights when the GP boys were laying into him. Haha. Still he got the meeting at Lynn, got a couple of his boys in the meeting and got his pics with the dolly birds so probably not bothered. Surprised there has been condemnation from the Lynn fans as the track for the first five heats was what they have been used to in the PL and what they have wanted all season. We have had the Lynn fans crying all season on here saying "give us grip". Well the track for first five heats was usual track prep at Lynn. Surprised they haven't come on saying that riders can't ride grip nowadays. Thats what they say on the PL threads when they serve up that sort of standard track surface. Stadium still looks a sh*thole on the TV. May as well knock that shed on the backstraight down and you can hardly see if you stand in it anyway due to about a hundred wooden poles keeping the thing up. Concrete centre looks terrible and with aload of dirt dumped on it then its not very pleasing to the eye. Lights were poor as well. Hope Rico didn't have to much damage to his van after his breakdown. Would be a travesty if he put in all that effort to get there and he was punished with a broken van. Chin up Rico.
