Vincent Vega
Does anyone else think Middlo will step down as England TM? He has been in the job 3 years and has been unlucky with injuries every time the WTC has come around. If he did decide to just concentrate with being TM down at Poole who would you like to see given the job next year. I think Ronnie Russell would be a good choice. crazysue
Well, I believe that he did a good job this year, so no reason for him to step down. It is not his fault if riders get injured, it's an occupational hazard for a speedway rider and given the circumstances he picked an excellent team for the job this year, all of them did us proud. Bryce
Hard to see how anyone could have done a better job in the circumstances. I sure hope he's still there next season.
Concrete Cowboy
There is only so much you can do with limited resources. Keep up the good work and better luck with availability next year Neil.
SammyR
Surely John Perrin's team-building skills make him an ideal candidate for GB team manager. Look at the team he put out for the Aces at the start of the season - Larsen, Manchester, Ales Dryml and Jesper Olsen, plus two and a half heat leaders. Is this guy the Alex Ferguson of speedway, or what? Sam.
Guest BritPeter
No reason whatsoever for Middlo to stand down, he can hardly be blamed for all the injuries to the Brits. Just wait till the time comes when we get a full team available!
London Witch
Middlo is doing a great job, absolutely no reason for him to step down, lets hope he continues in the job for a long time to come. Ronnie Russell Are you havin' a laff Can you imagine the riders having the same relationship with him that they seem to have with Neil. Robbie B
Middlo has done a great job for the British team. I cannot see any reason why he should give up being Great Britain manager. All the best in the future, Middlo. I wish once and for all, people would stop moaning about his team selection. You have to remember who ever he picked people would still moan the team. Too many people playing team manager. They should support him, and the British team instead. In my opion he picked the best riders available for the world cup, and they did Great Britain proud. The British team were totally awesome on Monday & Thursday, on a decent racing track. If the track for the final wasn't so bad, who knows what might have happended. Mylor
No-one would deny that we have a manager who has proved that he can get the best out of any rider.......and they love him for it!! So do we. Well done Team GB. Middlo, Stay exactly where you are..............your country needs you!!

Chris Brown
Middlo, Stay exactly where you are..............your country needs you!! That comment says it all!! Well I was certainly one who thought he had got it wrong with the team he picked but hands up to the guy, he got the very best out of a team that on paper shouldn't have made the final really. Happy to be proved wrong on this one, well done the Brits

Philip Addison
Stand down ??? NO WAY. Why should he ? Middlo was proven right with the team selection and the team spirit was superb.Everyone seemed to get on great guns and they did themselves and us proud, i can't see anyone else that would have done a better job on or off track. Some of the youngsters mentioned are great riders and their time will come, but a couple of them aren't the greatest gaters in the world and i think they would have struggled a lot on those slick tracks.Middlo's doing a good job. mark cox
I don't think he should stand down, but he should definetely SLOW DOWN! I couldn't understand a bloody word he was saying in those pit interviews! Was he being paid on words per second or what!? He should stay if he wants though because he's done a superb job, firstly picking the right team (yes I know there weren't many left!) and then inspiring brilliant team spirit. After two brilliant performances it just wasn't our night, with the lads not doing it at the first bend but still giving 100%. We'll just have to do it next year now. I'll have my medication now please matron...
sandman
Middlo better stay! He has put some great building blocks together that will come to fruition, plus he has the respect of the riders..
sanja shale town
If anybody should stand down it should be the track manager at Vojens, and if that is Ole Olson then so be it, the track was attempted to be done for the danes and oh boy, did it backfire. Guest BritPeter
I think the track was prepared like this to make for some spectacular racing for the cameras, and this would not be the first time this has happened. If It had ben pepared especially for the Danes It would have been very slick.

Why on earth should Middlo step down, like many others have said here he can't control riders injuries that's speedway. Considering the flack he got from most people for the team he picked, they went to the World Cup with fighting spirit, unfortunately fighting spirit couldn't win it this time roll on the next WTC :!:
