Well done to Sweden, great performance. Quote of the night was from Keith Heuwen - "young MIKAEL Ljung brought in at the last minute to replace SIX times world champion tony rickardsson." Heuwen has been around the speedway scene since the g.p's have been on tv, you'd think he'd have learnt something by now

Congrats to Sweden. I doubt many of us saw THAT coming 8)

I looked at the line up for Ht 24 and thought"ah well, good effort but no cigar" Then up pops Mr Ljung with the ride of his life. This is the same guy that scored 1 point in 4 meetings for Eastbourne? :-o

What a hero!

Well done Sweden. At heat 24 all i could see was Adams winning and Ljung finishing last and with Crumpy in the last I could not see the Aussies losing, but it goes to show it's never over til the fat lady sings.

I for one was dis-appointed with the track, Ole must spend more time doing these "one-off" tracks that he has obviously forgotten how to prepare a proper track. Ole do yourself a favour and give Huggy at Kings Lynn a ring, he'll do you a decent track in hot weather!

As for Great Britain I'm not gonna knock them as no doubt plenty of others will, i'll thank them for getting us to a final but i do feel they were all caught out by the track and just never adapted as quickly to the conditions as the other teams. At the end only Scott proved he is the only one capable of competing and adapting to the track but as Floppy said the track preparer wants burying in the vojens shale!

I look forward to next year!

IMO the track was c*** ok yes it was the same for every rider, but when it comes to rider safety it seems that anyone could promote a meeting in a ploughed field if they have enough cash to pay the powers that be. It's then up to the riders to risk their necks trying to entertain us.

The only excitement was caused by the s*** track preparation, if the track can't be sorted & be raceable for afternoon meetings then they should be moved to evening meetings when the sun is having a kip, quite simple really I would of thought.
