pirate paul
Actually I agree now - Middlo quit the job. Stick to being a great manager at Poole and let someone else do the Team GB job. Then when that new manager has exactly the same sorts of results with the same riders wait and see what these people spouting off have to say then <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have to agree with that 101%. Time to appease the masses Neil, give them enough rope etc etc...

shazzybird
Rossiter would fail an audition to join the Muppets! And don't bother giving me the crap about how well Swindon are doing, they could that with my cat in charge of them! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> now that's funny me thinks you may get a slap for that one though yeah but your cats called Boycey
Subedei
I think it is time for a change of manager, but Rosco? There's still a chance he'll manage to lose the Elite League this season.
DoncasterDragons
Give yourselves a pat on the back. You'll drive the best bloke out of the job. I wouldn't blame him at all if he walked away especially after reading the drivel on this thread. Roscoe, Chris Morton, David Norris, Gary Havelock ... they won't handle a candle to Middleditch, a million miles better than them all. Ask yourselves: what could any of the above have done better with the riders at his disposal tonight. Zilch, nothing. Sometimes, I despair. Let's pick on the easy target. Why not Chris Harris. Where was his Millennium form tonight? He ran rings round Nicki Pedersen, Bjarne and Jason three weeks ago. Or are you going to pick on him once Middlo has walked off into the sunset? Always look at the alternatives before kicking the man in charge. You'll all be sorry mark my words.

SCB
Why not Chris Harris. Where was his Millennium form tonight? He ran rings round Nicki Pedersen, Bjarne and Jason three weeks ago. He was rubbish. No doubt about it. As were the other 5 guys riding tonight. If this managing lark is as easy as some says, give the job to Tim Sugar, after all, he can't mess it up can he. To be fair, this is one World Cup where Middlo has got things right IMO. The joker was just luck as all the riders were under performing but Scott had to have it really, the riding order was spot on with the gater at 1 and the top two at 4 and 5 and he did have the right riders. However, he's screwed up too many times in the past IMO.

BobC
If it's that simple, give the job to my mum! Lets go one step further, give the job to a chimp!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok then, the jobs yours,SCB!!!!
Trees
I hope the brits come out and tell the fans exactly what happened on the night, they were surely well up for it but were obviously lacking somewhere, can we have an honest post mortem please, I'm sure we would all like to know what went wrong?? 12bore
they were lacking POWER even when they were mixing it they couldnt hold the advantage yes there was some execeptional riding by the poles especially but we were probably 5 or 10hp down .... even Valentino Rossi wouldnt win a Moto GP race on a 250! Somebody whether it was riders or manager made decisions tonight about equipment and although we probably wouldnt have won the decision made for a crap result ... i dont think it was about effort from any of the riders

Vincent Vega
Funny how its only mates of Middlo and Poole fans who dont think he should go as team GB manager. He cannot motivate anymore. You cannot use the big Polish track as an excuse like he did. Our boys ride in the Polish league they should have equipment good enough for these type of tracks. You aint telling me if this meeting would have been held at Purfleet that the Poles or the Danes or the Aussies would have finished so far behind cos the track is different to what they are used to. Middlo did not do his homework and should stand aside now and let the great rosco take over .
Vincent Vega
Orion What his fan club also forget is that he hasnt ridden since the 80s and machinery has moved on a hell of a lot since then. Someone like Rosco was a rider more recently and would have a better idea of bike set ups etc. VV
pirate paul
Hang on, how is it Middlos fault if the bloody riders can't set a bike up? Does a football manager tell his players to change their studs for longer ones on a wet pitch? Do me a favour. These are proffesional riders who race in Poland week in week out and they should be able to set up their equipment accordingly. The blame lies solely at their door. No I agree, stand aside Middlo. Damned if you do damned if you don't and all that. I guarantee that whoever is in charge they would have done no better than you and the same old people would be calling for their head, as they will be next year whoever is in charge. And may I just say damn! didn't realise that Mid's Fan Club was still going! I thought I had stopped running that when he retired! I am missing opportunities here with all the promotional stuff I could get these days! Also, though I am not calling for his head on a platter, I think it is probably time that Mid stepped down at Team GB Manager and concentrated on Poole more, along with his business! But.................... seriously boys! Rosco ? I am still saying Chris Louis as he has all the knowledge, the passion for his country and despite what SS might think, Chris is also very motivational! Deano
Seems like most people commenting on this thread have the typical football fans mentality.... sack the manager! When will people realise that Middlo can only run with what he has got, if what he has available has not got the ability nor the equipent to race on a big Polish track, then so be it. We need to look at our own grass roots before we start slating Middlo, we should be blaming the BSPA for this not the our manager. Surely people saw this result coming!!!! Old Saint
I would criticise him on his statement that the equipment was not fast enough. Surely someone should have taken steps to ensure that as far as possible the equipment was correct for the track? Perhaps winning straight through to the Final is not the advantage that it was cracked up to be?
