when wil they release the team line ups ,, will it be just before the meeting again on saturday ?

Acording to the FIM regulations the team-managers have to annonce the line-up no later than 30 minutes after the Practice (the practice is on this afternoon)

My assessment:

Denmark: Did very well on a super-slick surface at Vojens, but while Andersen and Nicki P will hold their own at Leszno, I suspect that Bjerre, BP and NKI won't be as effective. They'll be in the mix and I wouldn't rule them out.

Australia: I think they'll win, if they drop Schlein to reserve and bring Watt into the team. Watt's doing well in Poland this season, while Schlein hasn't really impressed in the SWC so far.

Great Britain: Very impressive at Coventry, but as was seen last night, the competition wasn't too hot, was it? I expect them to fill fourth spot, but they could spring a surprise.

Poland: I reckon every single member of the Polish team needs to up their game by around 30% if they want to win. I can't say any of the Poles especially impressed me last night. They had that purple patch from Ht 11 to Ht 15 that secured their passage to the final. If they want to win, that sort of form has to stretch from Ht 1 to Ht 25.

As I've said before, helmet colour is critical and I'll go so far to say that if Denmark, Poland or Australia are in blue, they'll win.

Well the Danish riders ain't hapy about slicky tracks, so I guess they are looking foreward to the meeting. As for home track advantage - Vojens surely aint a home track, since the track is not used in the Danish League, the Danish riders have not been there since the last World Cup held in Denmark.

And finaly - it is Nicki (and not Nikki), but to you it´s actuly Mr. Pedersen !!!!      B)

so the track wasn't prepared to the instructions of certain riders? ;)

No I was right it is Nikki!!

No it was not. The track was prepared the way Ole Olsen always does - the Danes were just apple to win on the track, but they did not have any saying about how the track were repared.

I will give you the point - that the track was CRAP !!! - but again that is up to Ole Olsen and it always turn out slicky - and then it is up for riders to make the best out of it.

PS: For you the Danish Team are: Mr. Pedersen, Mr. Bjerre, Mr. Iversen, Mr. Andersen and Mr. Pedersen - the rest of you can call them: Nicki, Kenneth, Niels, Hans and Bjarne

really?..next time you see Nicki and co ask them!!

Well, I spoked with them after the race in Vojens and I spoked over the phone with the Danish Team Manager Jan Staechmann last night.

BTW here is what Jan wrote after the meeting:

Hi everyone,

I may be biased, but I’m also honest: We had no say in how the track was

prepared. Actually all the guys in the team prefer some dirt. The difference

is that we seem to be able to do well on the slick also.

What you probably don’t know is that practice was cancelled due to the

immense amount of rain we have had in southern Denmark in the last few days,

and the forecast for race day was thunder storms late afternoon/early

evening.

There was a decent wind all day, but the threat of rain never materialized –

thankfully – and the only bit we got was a light drizzle around 6pm.

That is why the track was as slick as it was. It was even watered every 5

races, and at least it wasn’t as bad as Reading at the race off last year…

Great to see well over 10.500 spectators again in Vojens.

Best wishes

Jan

Why do you think Danes only can find the way round on a slick track ??

Take a look at the Ranking in the Polish Extra League - I don't think there are to many slick tracks there:

Denmark:

Nicki Pedersen 11,10

Hans Andersen 9,26

Niels Kr. Iversen 7,19

Kenneth Bjerre 7,12

Bjarne Pedersen 9,27 (Polish 1st Division)

Total 43,94 incl. one rider from 1st Division

Australia:

Leigh Adams 10,92

Jason Crump 9,11

Ryan Sullivan 8,81

Chris Holder 6,06

Rory Schlein 7,88 (Polish 1st Division)

Total 42,78 incl. one rider from 1st Division

Poland:

Thomas Gollob 9,13

Krzysztof Kasprzak 8,62

Grzegorz Walasek 8,54

Jaroslaw Hampel 8,00

Damian Balinski 7,92

Total 42,21 All riders from extra-league

Britain:

Scott Nicholls 7,87

Lee Richardson 6,56

Edward Kennett 6,00

Chris Harris 10,37 (Polish 1st Division)

Simon Stead 6,75 (Polish 1st Division)

Total 37,55 incl. two riders from 1st Division

N P and H A can hold there own in any company the other 3 although good riders do rely on gating so if the track is grippy with different racing lines those 3 are likely to let Denmark down against the Aussies and Poland in there own back yard.

Again if the track is grippy we (GB) wont win IMHO but we will be spoilers especially against the Danes 3 weaker riders

PUK is an inconsistent gater, and likes a bit of dirt around the outside.

3 of our riders would prefer it grippy, and I'd even go so far as to say even Lee would like a bit of grip on a Polish track. He seems to race better on the wide open spaces of a Polish track. Check out some of the youtube clips to remind yourself what Lee is capable of. :approve:

Still backing the Brits. :approve:

If we don't win it, then I couldn't give a monkeys left nut which team does.

Saturday should be an absolute belter. I don't really mind who wins as long as it's not Denmark - nothing against the Danes, but my heart says GB, my pocket says Poland and yet I'd love to see the Clean One with his hands on the trophy.

Another track like last night would be just fine; and if I could have one other wish it would be that the winners don't need to play a joker. Why oh why can our sport's governing body not just let the best team win?

No need to post really because that says it all for me...except the bit about your pocket. Anyone but the Danes will do for me, but of course hoping for Team G.B.
