Silver Bee
Have you looked at Steves stats lately?Ask SCB to explain averages to you.3.36 isn't better than many and certainly not Christian <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's biding his time Didn't you use Christians performance in international events as a reason why he was better and say how averages dont explain everything when Lubos was ahead??? If so - Lubos is 5 rides away from the GP - Christians a year away yet I hope you know I'm only joking with you anyway
SorenSSK
WELL DONE: Team Poland for winning. Well done: Team Denmark for putting up a fight. Fair done: Team Australia because you are at the other side of the world and still putting up a fight. DONE: Team GB: thanks for showing up, have up got the number for the Russian Manager? Slick TRACK: will all the people trashing Denmark for not being able to ride a grippy track(and the GB being able to) shut the F=)(K UP ! Custom House Kid
If you thought tonight was not good entertainment, you would be best advised to follow another sport. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Spot on Steve Did i actually say that!!!!!! T.N.T.
Great meeting with "fast and furious" (ala Nigel Pearson) where first out of the gate seemed to be a big dis advantage. Never knew there were two Krzysztof Kasprzak's as that wasn't the same one that appeared at Monmore Green last week.
Tactical Sub
I think you must have been watching the cricket on Sky Sports 1, the racing was superb, and far superior to the average Elite League racing we get on a Monday night. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for making my point for me - as I said, "in my view". You're entitled to yours and I believe I am to mine. PS - It was the masters football on SS1, although the pitch was a little less slicker than the thing on view on SS3. jrs
Yet again superb racing at Lezno and congratulations to Poland. It's time common sense prevailed and that the rules are changed so that the reserve can replace anyone in the team at anytime up to a maximum of five rides. The current rule was clearly going to be open to abuse. A great advert for Speedway and real speedway tracks - just a shame that we have very few real tracks in this country. BigFatDave
Yawn - sure this'll get slated but in my view that has to rank as one of the most soporific meetings I've seen in ages, boring track, terrible surface. Thank god for the fantastic atmosphere created by the fervent Polish crowd which just about saved the event from oblivion. Let's be honest, all four meetings were won by the home team, apart from the one where the home team didn't field their Norwegian ringer, so the whole thing was no less predictable. As for GB, there's no point slagging the riders tonight off, why not focus on the British system that has just 15 GB riders in its top division, nearly half of whom are has beens or never-will-be's. How the hell can anyone be expected to produce a world class team with only 7 or 8 top division riders to choose from ? If we can't support the growth of talent in our second rate league at home, why should anybody react indignantly when we're useless in world class company abroad ??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well TS I'm sure a fair few will disagree with ya. In the modern era both Oz & the US of A have won with only 4 or five riders of World Class and along with Poland Denmark & Sweden they've all won away from home. GB haven't won in Donkeys and with the present system in place they won't. No Poms in the Under-16's again - no effective Junior program means no kids coming through with enough experience to begin with.

scotty2hotty
Shame to see Leigh Adams being beaten comprehensively on a track that he is usually nigh on unbeatable on, must have been something wrong with his bike perhaps!! SCB
Rune Holta did well and qualified to ride for Poland, in the same way I guess as Strauss, Pietersen, Geraint Jones et al qualied to play cricket for England. Geraint Jones is eligable without any fiddling for one. The team is England AND WALES Good meeting, crap Brits, Hans made me laugh, Poles cheated, Aussies cheated, Brits cheated, wanted the Danes to win by the time Walasek was "ill". Ghostwalker
i think this was a really great race i really like the Leszno type race tracks coz' usually it will produce good racing with lots of passing like tonight and not only passing on 1 line but many different lines. That is what speedway needs good racing with lots of passings on all possible and impossible lines. When it comes to team gb i would suspect that your riders have equipment suitable for shorter/narrower british tracks while the other teams who are used to these big tracks have suitable equipment. So in your case i thinks it more the equipemnt then the riders.

Then again, I've only been watching the sport for over 30 years, so why the hell should I be entitled to a view.
Rob B
Your talking rubbish. There are 12 GP's and take away the 5 main nations and you still have 7 locations left plus there are places like Lonigo or Russia that would get good crowds. Maybe next year they could hold it in Germany or the Czech Republic. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Use you head and think, how many people are going to turn up when the home nation is not even riding in the World Cup because they haven't qualified! Yes I agree it would be good to have it on a neutral track like in Czech Rep but its never going to happen because there would be no one there with no home team to support. TheStartTart
On a side note, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Crump didn't break a conrod when he went through the tapes on the joker. If you watch the replay closely you could see his hand let the clutch out. Also if a conrod goes it doesn't throw you forward into the tapes, the engine just goes bang. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rob, glad you saw that too, I've seen a con rod go and they are quite spectacular, a great explosion of fireworks under the calf as the con rod shoots through the engine casing. I kept shouting at the TV that it couldn't have been a con rod. TST
Silver Bee
I said at the time nothing was wrong with Crump's bike. Think that's an excuse. Looks to me like he's just dropped the clutch and pulled it back after he hit the tapes. He turned his head when he dropped the clutch too, something you surely wouldn't do if it was a bike problem???

One or two of them got their set ups rightish by the end of the meeting ........... we sure need to do something about being more competative when it comes to the WTC in Poland 100%!
