Steve Shovlar
Denmark Australia Team Great Britain Poland. Should be a real cracker. The track looks great. I can't wait. If we can make the rostrum I will be proud of the guys. It's going to be tough with our youngsters, but as long as they get stuck in and give it everything they have got, I will be happy. Bring It On!

I've no idea who will win. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Neither have I.. And as for the track. It was quite good today but as they said on Polish Canal+, Olsen complained about it a lot. He wanted it to be much more slick. However, the guys responsible for the track didn't do anything what he ordered.. It might be harder to resist on Saturday as Danes will be riding but hopefully they won't listen to that idiot either and the track will be the same. BritPete
Olsen is always whinging. Slick tracks and the Danes have become a standing joke in speedway for decades. Just keep the fool away from the track, why should he spoil a potentially great meeting?

As far as I'm concerned we had an excellent speedway meeting tonight, with some first class racing, The overtake of Balinski by Adams was beautiful. I think the Australians will win, if they drop Schlein. If not, I'll take the team in blue to win - the gate positions are strange for this competition and seem heavily weighted in favour of certain helmet colours. The Poles, for example, had 4 outside gates during the heats 11 through 15 (when gate 4 was working outrageously well) and scored 14 points. MrwulfAndrew
Great stuff <{POST_SNAPBACK}> agreed brilliant As for the final, wow what a final it promises to be!
21st century heathen
Should be a good meeting. I don't think we can afford any blips though. Our boys need to put together 25 of the best heats they've ever ridden.
Bobbin' Along
After watching tonight's meeting, I can't wait for Saturday. Fair play to the Poles for not dancing to Olsen's tune. About bloomin' time. On current form, I don't think you can rule any of the four teams out - it's going to be a close squeak. Heart says: 1. GB 2. Oz 3. Polska 4. Baconheads However my head says it will probably be Poland's year this year - with Australia and Denmark making up the other placings. seanisnumber1
Yes we all heard what Adams said and lets hope that fires the British boys up but just cant see them getting a rostrum place am afraid just hope they can pull it off!! As for home track advantage - Vojens surely aint a home track, since the track is not used in the Danish League, the Danish riders have not been there since the last World Cup held in Denmark. And finaly - it is Nicki (and not Nikki), but to you it´s actuly Mr. Pedersen !!!!

On a slick track, sorry boring track. 1 Denmark 2 Poland. 3 Australia 4 G B On a track prepared like Thursday,s 1 Australia 2 Poland 3 Denmark 4 G B
Seb the Snail
Saturday should be an absolute belter. I don't really mind who wins as long as it's not Denmark - nothing against the Danes, but my heart says GB, my pocket says Poland and yet I'd love to see the Clean One with his hands on the trophy. Another track like last night would be just fine; and if I could have one other wish it would be that the winners don't need to play a joker. Why oh why can our sport's governing body not just let the best team win?
BritPete
Team GB will rock the speedway world tomorrow night when they become the champions. Adams will choke on his words, Hone the moan will emigrate.....and Middlo will get an MBE.

Take a look at the Ranking in the Polish Extra League - I don't think there are to many slick tracks there: Denmark: Nicki Pedersen 11,10 Hans Andersen 9,26 Niels Kr. Iversen 7,19 Kenneth Bjerre 7,12 Bjarne Pedersen 9,27 (Polish 1st Division) Total 43,94 incl. one rider from 1st Division Australia: Leigh Adams 10,92 Jason Crump 9,11 Ryan Sullivan 8,81 Chris Holder 6,06 Rory Schlein 7,88 (Polish 1st Division) Total 42,78 incl. one rider from 1st Division Poland: Thomas Gollob 9,13 Krzysztof Kasprzak 8,62 Grzegorz Walasek 8,54 Jaroslaw Hampel 8,00 Damian Balinski 7,92 Total 42,21 All riders from extra-league Britain: Scott Nicholls 7,87 Lee Richardson 6,56 Edward Kennett 6,00 Chris Harris 10,37 (Polish 1st Division) Simon Stead 6,75 (Polish 1st Division) Total 37,55 incl. two riders from 1st Division Edited July 20, 2007 by Danish Webmaster
Adder
GB will finish 4th tomorrow night, and that is the only certainty about the meeting really. Hopefully the Poles will win it and line my pocket with some winnings from Mr William Hill. I really hope the dirty Danes don't win it again and the only time I want to see an Australian with a World Championship trophy is at the end of the season when Mr Clean is atop the rostrum after the final SGP.
