Bees 2005 Champs
Hi all Matty's dad Dale has asked me to post an update on here to inform anyone who is interested about Matty's current condition as the family have had loads of calls enquiring about him. For those of you that don't know Matty was involved in a road accident a week last Monday and sustained a broken leg in six places. He received treatment at his local hospital (a couple of operations) but towards the end of last week was transferred to Leicester Hospital who had specialists that could give Matty the best possible attention. Yesterday morning (Tuesday) he underwent another operation, this time 7 and a half hours to move some flesh from elsewhere on his body to plug a hole in his leg. The operation appeared to go well although the next 48 hours will be crucial to see if everything is working the way it should. Matty was in ICU after such a long operation but is in good spirits which is great knowing what pain he must be in. If all is well then he will remain at Leicester Hospital for around another 7-10 days before being transferred back to his local hospital. When I find out more I will try to post it here but if not updates can be found at Matty's Website: Allitt Racing Matty's family would like to thank all the well wishers that have contacted them over the last few days which has been a boost in such a tough time. Shortcrust
Heard at King's Lynn that Matty had had an accident of some kind but didn't quite hear over the bikes what happened. Poor little chap. Keep smiling Matty and very best wishes for a speedy recovery.
