Guest chris26
I guess... Max let us down. AJ did too really, he tried to come back too soon <{POST_SNAPBACK}> freddie IMO is undisputed number 1 swede at the moment without question - closely followed by PK and Jonas
full-throttle
There were some good races, but I found it largely boring again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you really, I personally loved the track, it made for some great, FAST RACING! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> trees, it's because he didn't have his fairy friends with him

jrs
Processional racing? I have just had a brief read through the updates heats comments and I counted at least 34 passes during the meeting. I thought it was the best meeting by far of the series, and on a REAL speedway track with a consistent surface that the riders have confidence in. Not a single fall or a re-run race. Gemini
There were a lot of heats that produced processional racing. Doesn't matter if it's fast or not if they can't pass. I reckon you need a break from speedway if you thought it was boring tonight. Some brilliant racing for the majority of the time and only a very few heats were processional. Let's hope it is as good on Saturday. COME ON ENGLAND.
21st century heathen
Things like the Leigh Adams moves, Crump round the outside, Roo and KK etc are real races with proper passes. I don't call passing a Russian on a long straight because your bike is 5mph faster particularly great racing. Perhaps I just wasn't in the right mood for speedway tonight (although that would be a first). I haven't deleted it yet so I'll probably have a whizz through it again tomorrow. My 70% comment was a little over-exaggerated, and not to be taken literally.
BritPete
It was a great meeting, plenty of passes and a last heat decider. If 21st thought it was boring, then he should follow another sport because it rarely gets better than this!

Steve Shovlar
Holder did excellent and was much better than I thought he would be tonight. Looks like the Pirates have got a real star in the team for 2008! Also thought tonights meeting was top notch. Best of the three so far. Roll on the final. Mr. Clemens
This was a superior speedway meeting - one for the connoisseur - a game of chess taken to the wire. When old fogies - such as me sen - talk about a speedway meeting in the old days - this is the kind of meeting we are talking about. The Poles were - 'inspired' by their own supporters - which means the fans let their feelings be known to their riders - who then 'rose to the occaisson' - in other words did what they were expected to do - instead of swanning around The Australians set the pace for one and all - The Swedes despite their depleted resources did once again show their classy historical speedway credentials It's a pity it can't be a five team final - The Swedes would be the ulitimate spoilers. I have been a fan of Freddie Lindgren eversince I saw him riding as a guest for an opposition team at Coventry when he scored 14 or 15 points. Freddie has an enigmatic look about him that is hard to define - but it came to me last night - as he was being interviewd in the pits - Lindgren has an air of 'nobility' about him - and he will be the Swedes next great world champion - I am sure of that. The Russians didn't cause an upset has I hoped they would after their efforts at Coventry - but perhaps it won't be long before they do. Yes this was a great meeting - Speedway as it should be - riders take note who were watching this It's all about committment, desire and passion - the desire to entertain - the passion to win - the committment to entertaining racing I look forward to saturday night - what I do hope is - with the way speedway is going these days = dull - boring - tedious meetings - just like world cup round one in denmark - that my entire speedway watching won't be restricted to the race off and final of the world team cup and nothing else. The world cup was the highlight of the season last year - it's looking to be the same this year - so speedway folk observe these two meetings - and apply yourselves to the job in hand - and make the sport of speedway what it should be - as was demonstrated last night - and the fans will come pouring back through the gates A great meeting - loved it

Nobility eh .......... I think of him as a tough, determined, focused and talented young rider who I, too, think will go a long way and good luck to him! I see Kasprzak in a similar light as far as the Poles are concerned.

Seb the Snail
A cracking meeting IMHO; I'm definitely siding with those who think that it was one to savour. Congratulations to Australia on a superb victory, with all of their team bar Schlein riding at the peak of their talents. I had the Poles down as easy winners last night, but this was never likely after such a sluggish start. They certainly can't afford a repeat if they are to challenge for the title tomorrow. Bring it on.
seanisnumber1
Great meeting to watch last night if only the swedes could have kept it a bit closer towards the end. Was suprised the Poles did not get going till around heat 11 but I knew when they did that they would be on fire and so it proved. Chris Holder was excellent and definitley going to be the star of Aussie speedway in years to come...have loved watching him numerous times this season and last night was no different. Freddie Lindgren was another class act on show beating Crumpy and always being on the pace...will be in the GPs for Lindback next year am sure. Max and Jonsson let the swedes down with Max being inconsistent and AJ obviously no where near fully fit. Well done to the Aussies on winning the race off and to Poland for making the Final cant wait till Saturday now its gonna be one heck of a battle...imagine a race of Adams, Gollob, Hans and Bomber round there..would be a breathtaker!! Have Poole already snapped him up? Brilliant prospect and I was very impressed with his riding. He looks to be even better than Rory Schlein.....and I can say that because Sandie is away at the moment.
