Well looks like the big name promised has arrived with paul cooper taking the last spot, what happened to the massive name to add numbers to the turnstile's,fair enough options may have been limited but paul cooper for christ's sake.

im looking forward to this, and hope goes well for garry, but thats hardly a great last rider.

Cooper's pretty decent round Sheff so he probably won't look too far out of place. besides, i couldn't care less if a donkey fills the last berth, it's really not that important to me :)

Its not about the riders who take part is it?

Its about turning out to support a deserving cause

I think by "big names" Matty probably meant these riders that were turned away because they couldn't be fitted into the line-up, personally I think there are better riders than Cooper BUT he is not bad round Owlerton and won't be far off the pace and it is not about the riders in the line-up but raising loads of cash for an absolute legend who we owe it to :)

Am sure we could have got Ben Wilson to ride unless want to rest him due to knocks but Coops always adds entertainment and Richard Hall will be out to impress for a team spot somewhere now!!

Looking forward to it hope they have planned a race with Compo, Steady, Zorro and Lindgren in or that is the final as it would be awesome!!

Well,I will be coming up for this meeting, all the way from sunny Poole.Watch out all you Northern souls that might have offended the mighty Rabbit. She will be there too!!

Cant be arsed with paying out lots of money to see a GP abroad.Rather put some money into the pocket of one of our sports so called 'lesser lights'.

Ive always been of fan of TEAM speedway, rather than individual glory.Garry epitomises that for me.Every team needs a 'Garry'.

Wouldnt miss this for anything.Fingers crossed for good weather.

See you all there on Thursday.

I will also be there as well. Where will you and the rabbit be standing. Wouldn't dare diss the rabbit.:lol:

I will pm you my mobile,as its always good to meet up with others, and put faces to names.

We are leaving at 11am.See you later.

Paul Cooper and Ben Barker are the track reserves, once the programme goes to print and another rider can't make it the reserves go in. Paul and Ben agreed to be reserves on that basis. A bit unethical I think to pass them over when they have been on the hook for a month. Hope you agree.

Wahey! Would be good to finally say hello Tsunami! :approve: As Bob says, we're leaving at 11, just hoping work don't throw up any major issues before them as I've had to sell my soul to the corporation to be allowed today off. Wouldn't miss this for the world and the good news is the weather forecast looks good.

As for the line-up, don't care who's in it to be honest. Today is about one person - Garry - and it's him I'm going for not the riders in the line-up. Here's to a big crowd and a cracking meeting. :D

Well I was supposed to be moving house today but managed to get it changed to tomorrow! The house has been sold for 6 months and should have moved 1 month ago and been packed since then so been a little stressed lately!

Anyway really looking forward to tonight to celebrates Garry’s career and lets hope for a massive crowd to help him and his family get setup for the future.

Ready Steady Go!
