Matousek
Was announced for august 23rd. Should be a good line up as most teams arent riding that night apparently. Would imagine a star studded line up for this meeting for a rider whos gave entertainment for years all around the country.

Matousek
At a guess Sheffield. Or poss Worky. Hope it raises a rubbishload of cash for Garry edit..beat me to it Matousek <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah so do i. I rememeber him when he came to owlerton from bradford, took a while to get going, but then was a great racer there. Certainly gave some good races at sheffield in 96, and has in many teams over the years.

The meeting is to be called the Garry Stead Grand Prix, and will run on the same format as the Grand Prix, and riders are queueing up to take part, should be a fantastic line up. The Third Man
Erm have Sheffield got a airfence to hold this meeting ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no but it doesnt matter for this because its in support of a PL rider and they dont need air fences

lupus
Do you really have to spoil a thread dedicated to a seriously injured rider with your petty and pathetic arguements about the ELRC....there's already two threads dedicated to that subject. Surely you should have more respect?!!!! I'll be doing my best to attend this meeting - Garry deserves all the support he can get!

Shorty
Sheffield own Garry's contract.. And it's central. Perfect track I say! And it will cope with the amount of people that are going to support Garry. I'm sure there's going to be loads of fans there.. I'd really wana see riders that are close to Garry to ride in the meeting. I think it would mean a lot to Garry, and a lot to the riders involved to be doing something of use for him. BobC
Already booked the time off work.Wouldnt miss this for anything.Yes,I will be driving up from Poole to support him.He deserves it. Got chatting to him at Weymouth a while back.He travelled down with one of the U15's riders, cant remember who.Not only did he help him,but also anyone else.Nothing was too much trouble for the guy.He was even slightly emabarrassed when asked to make the presentations to the Winner(Auty),as he had to stop helping someone in the pits! Great to see someone who wants to put something back into the sport.Im sure when hes feeling better,we will still see him around the tracks. Nothing but my best wishes for the future.
