Yes, I was cheering them on and also marvelling at their enthusiasm, bike control and machinery.

Its been a long time since riders from the old Soviet Union were masked in mystery and competed brilliantly in the old Individual World Championships.

40plus years since Samorodov, Kurilenko & the brilliant Igor Plechanov finished on or close to the rostrums.

I hope the Russians development continues and brings another country into competition against the top 5.  And a GP or World Team Cup Final in Russia would be a brilliant event - moscow.......

Well put Macca, as another Geriatric Ol' Fart I remember the Russkis in the 60's with fondness - they were Entertainers, something that's missing a lot from Speedway these days.

I think Russia could quite well cause an upset tomorrow night

I for one hope they do

It would - as they say - make a refreshing change

Judas won't be the same on Thursday ;)  1 man team will be PK

Fredrik Lindgren may well out score the rest of the team. If AJ is fit to return, I expect Sweden to have Freddie, PK and AJ in there battling, but its highly unlikely J000nas will do the same again.

With Denmark and GB (England) all in the final, I think Poland and Australia will do enough to get in the final ahead of the Swede's.

As for the final, all teams have weaker and inexperienced riders that makes it quite open, but Denmark to win . . . just.

Denmark does look very strong all through the team. It depends if the track is done to suit the Poles.

Thing is,and Hans pointed this out.The teams that are in todays meeting have a good advantage on getting race practice on the track. My personal opinion though is that Denmark not only have the better riders, but also the best team manager
