Lets all be truthful about last night

Who was cheering on the Russians last night, I thought they deserved the right to get into the play off's on Thursday

They was not a team just to make up the numbers as so many are in the past

i hope they get through to the final as well ,they was exciting to watch

I predict the final on saturday will be

GB

Denmark

Sweden

Russian ??(But most probably Australia in realistic terms)

I thought the Russians provided quality entertainment last night! All action stuff and a real never-say-die attitude :approve:

It also gave me an opportunity to come up with a new joke:-

What do you call a Russian handyman in the Black Country?

Denis Gizatullin

Well, I laughed...

They were really worth watching. I was cheering them all the way!! Cant wait to see them in Poland where they really can get it all wound on. One thing though, they always looked like they are were a second from crashing, I bet the other riders are terrified at having to face them come Thursday.

The race off looks like it's be a good 'un but I feel home track advantage to the Poles will play a part. I expect the Aussie's to go through and also reckon the Ruskie's will finish ahead of the 1 man team called Sweden

The Russians were great last night. My Mom and Dad have told me that in the past they were always nutters. Some things never change hey?! They're well worth their place, and they might just spring a surprise if the 'others' don't take them seriously. How good would it be for World Speedway to see another nation (other than the now regulars) make the final?! :approve:

Judas won't be the same on Thursday ;) 1 man team will be PK

what a refreshing change to see some new faces "going for it!".made for a great evenings entertainment.

Spot on, they really made the effort and the crowd seemed to respond, so they in turn responded to that.

One or two of them could be riding over here soon perhaps, they certainly seem like they could hold down an EL position.

Just tell me how?? They have no chance, it will be Poland and Australia or Sweden.

poland are very good team but funny things happen at speedway

(ie Chris Harris to win the British GP)

i think that the Russians will either come to Poland on thursday really strong and supprise every nation

who would of said that the usa was going to be last on the night but they was

good luck to the Russians on thursday

Could anyone have imagined the Yanks in Poland?

At least the Russians will be on the pace, as opposed to Hancock verses

The russians are as tough as anything, they just look hard cases, as do most eastern block riders. As for the yanks, well lets be honest, tommy hedden? as he ridden here before, i know bobby did for sheffield a decade ago and well he wasnt great! , and charlie venegas was a belle vue class act, but away was useless!

Yes, I was cheering them on and also marvelling at their enthusiasm, bike control and machinery.

Its been a long time since riders from the old Soviet Union were masked in mystery and competed brilliantly in the old Individual World Championships.

40plus years since Samorodov, Kurilenko & the brilliant Igor Plechanov finished on or close to the rostrums.

I hope the Russians development continues and brings another country into competition against the top 5. And a GP or World Team Cup Final in Russia would be a brilliant event - moscow.......

Hedden was part of the 2007 Dream Team over here at the start of the season.
