Now be quiet! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have always found young Subedei to be a fair chap and he is right, Scott Nicholls is a beggar
marron
I have always found young Subedei to be a fair chap and he is right, Scott Nicholls is a beggar <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why do Brits always seem to be negative even after a good result. Shouldn't it be about focusing on the positives and moving onto the next challenge?
colincooke
I have always found young Subedei to be a fair chap and he is right, Scott Nicholls is a beggar <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ........and if you'd read this thread properly you'll know i've made my apologies for that comment like a gent should.I do notice also that London Witch apart that it hasn't been acknowledged. What we're you saying about fair & right again. Marron, Thank you Edited August 26, 2007 by colincooke
Biddows
I have always found young Subedei to be a fair chap and he is right, Scott Nicholls is a beggar <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Doesn't that constitute libel? I presume no-one here is seriously suggesting that Scott actively begs for his place in the series. At best he is included as one of the top 15 riders in the world, and at worst, he benefits from the political realities of the sport. Either way, to brand him a beggar is gross defamation, unless anybody has any evidence to the contrary.

This is a speedway forum not a bloody place to discuss if people can press charges.
a61
As probably one of the only people on here that actually knows what libel really is (), I'd say there is no point in threatening some sort of defamation law suit - it simply wouldn't happen over one vague comment on an Internet forum. Freedom of speech anyone? Anyway... I have been very disappointed in Scott about some of his performances in the GPs, but I have to admit he has impressed me recently with the effort he's put in. He still really frustrates me though - two fourth places?! It would be great to finally see him on the podium!

I've read plenty of things I disagree with during my time on the Forum, but I don't go around threatening legal action etc etc!!

But hey, you can't win 'em all, eh? Oh, and for the record, I was being strictly tongue-in-cheek - I wasn't genuinely suggesting that it was a libel case, but of course, you knew that already
Ghostwalker
about Scotty have scotty done "a holta"? the news staff of local radio station, called Swedish Radio P4 Dalarna, said this about the final: "Other Mas rider leigh Adams won the final, Nicki Pedersen Denmark finished second, Tomasz Gollob, Poland was third and Scott Nicholls Australia was fourth." Since when is Scotty riding for Australia? http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/dalarna/nyheter/a...artikel=1558222 Edited August 27, 2007 by Ghostwalker

colincooke
Schumi If you missed my apology you should look at post 255 on this thread, you'll see that it's very genuine & not something i have any intention of repeating especially since Subs made a personal insult on my nature in post 85 for which i have yet too receive the same courtesy. And he has the nerve too question my integrity

Steve Turner
I find it hilarious, after a few days away, to read some of the comedy posts on this thread Nicholls is seven years younger than Adams, a man who this year is closer to a world title than at any time in a long and brilliant League(s) career...and yet now this thread even gets a post that suggests Scott may as well retire 'cause he's never gonna do anything excellent... Over 80 points were scored from the inside two gates on Saturday night, yet people are having a dig at Scott for coming last in the Final, out of Gate 3, which provided 19 points all night sweet... I could go on, because it's even easier to rip these posts apart than it must be to post them in the first place...but I enjoy them all, so keep them coming
