Vincent Vega
Well another World Cup rolls around and hopefully Middlo can inspire our lads on to victory. This will be his 7th stab at winning the cup as manager and it would be great if he can get that bit extra out of the side that he has failed to do in the past and we see Nicholls lifting the trophy. I wish Middlo all the best in his efforts
Cornishman
If we won it it would be down to the riders
youngy105
In a nutshell....NO. He's failed the past however many years so I can't see this year being any different. Hopefully we'll go straight through to the final. Team selection is a bit off. Simon Stead is very short on confidence at the moment after 2 horrific crashes this season and Ed Kennett is not a Coventry specialist as has been pointed out to me....though in fairness he does deserve his chance due to the great season he's having. Denmark or Poland to win it. Edited July 13, 2007 by youngy105
superguest
I think GB will do well this year. 2 GP superstars, 1 ex and 2 rising sure to be Superstars.
Adder
I can't see us winning anything until the inspirational Rosco takes over as manager. How long has Middlo been in charge now without us winning owt? If it was football they would be clamouring for his head by now.
Starman2006
I personally feel that we have a good chance. If we can get the result on Monday that takes us straight to the final. But, if i did have reservations it would probably be our strength in depth when we get to the final!!. But, im sure that Neil would be picking the team on a Horses for courses basis. I feel Poland again have an outstanding chance, but just feel, that this year its slightly more open than on previous years!!.

shazzybird
I wouldn't mind betting that all of you are the ones that said "Bomber Harris win Cardiff yeah right, more chance of flying to the moon" As for Rosco being a better manager yeah ok he'll still have the same riders so what makes you think he can do any better, Adder they "clamour" for Middlos head each year why should this be any different You lot on here put your points across as to who you would want to see in the team, we all know Middlo reads the forum and by the looks of his team this year has taken on board what the fans want .... so if we do lose again blame yourselves, you were the ones that said choose so and so cos he can ride Coventry better than anyone or he has ridden really well so far this season and beat whoever at whatever track, you (the British fans as a whole) obviously feel you have a better knowledge than who the BSPA put in as Manager so now time will tell. If we win pat yourselves on the back for helping to choose a winning team if we don't the doors >>>>>>>>>>>>> that a way!!!!!!

Vincent Vega
Dear All Suzie and Shazzy are buddies with Middlo and defend him which is being a good mate in my book. But surely when we fail to win the SWC for the 7th time under his stewardship he will do the honourable thing and pen his resignation letter to the BSPA first thing Monday morning. Up the Brits come on Middlo prove me wrong my friend. Vega
salty
Can't do it without the raw materials can we? In those 7 years you forget to mention the riders Middlo has had to try and win the thing with. If anything I would say that they have over achieved in Middlo's reign. Can't see them overcoming Denmark or Poland this year especially on Polish shale. But I would be surprised if they don't have a good go. hyderd
The present riders and manager are not good enough to win this years WTC,3rd place in the final is about our worth, but the future does look abit rosier and with a younger manager maybe in 3-4 years time we could be pushing for 1st place. Future England team squad could look something like. L Bridger E Kennett D King O Allen C Harris S Stead J Wright J Auty T Woofinden (hopefully he rides for England and not Aus) Manager D Norris. I,M sure others have thier views but the persent Squad and Manager are not up to it
sjw ministerofport
If GB they put as much effort in as they have the last few years I for one will not slag the off. As for Middlo I doubt whether there is any body better, but some could do as well.
tigerblues
It's down to the riders, not Middlo. Middlo picked a top 4 that anybody would have and then there are only about 2 or 3 riders who could even replace Kennett and 1 of those is out now injured (Howe), so what else does he need to do to "inspire us to SWC glory"?! Midlo has made some questionable decisions at both club and international level,so maybe its time for a change.
