BOBBATH
Many of you in forumland will know that I have been unjustifiably maligned for my extensive rersearch into another topic-i.e speedway's tallest rider. It then occured to me -who was at the other end of the scale?? I have two nominees-Billy Bales and Ian Turner.Great guys both altho' Billy was of my era. Anybody know who was the shortest-all I can say is that it can not be Graham Miles because according to the Speedway Star of 25.10.1968 he was 6'4"!!!! star ghost
And as I said on the other thread - Johnnie Chamberlain - the 4'9" Bloater. He may have been short but he was a tall scorer for east Anglian Speedway teams. J C is still living in Australia but I understand his health is not so good nowadays
