rhidassa
Track was pretty bad - far too slick. Just glad GB were drawn in event 2 - only imagine Bomber on that, none of the grip he loves so much! Denmark were excellent, Crumpy/Adams stood out for Aus. I'd imagine Holder might do better in the race-off at Poland, since he races over there (or am I wrong?). I guess a lot of them have ridden in Poland, though, couldnt say about Denmark. Look forward to Monday.. should imagine that track will be in much better condition than this one was. Nevertheless, there were a few good moves - biggest problem was that if one rider made a small mistake, it was very difficult to recover. 21st century heathen
got to wonder why no Davey Watt in place of Holder? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought Holder did his job quite well to be honest. Okay he didn't really surprise anyone, but he was well on the pace. I can't fault the Aussies for wanting to blood their rising star. Let's wait to see how he gets on in Poland. finland may of not even bothered showing their faces, they were bang on rubbish. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's hardly fair. The task for Finland/Russia/Hungary/Italy etc is to qualify for the final. Then try not to be the lowest scorers ever. That success for them. There are an awful lot of football teams that shouldn't bother turning up for the start of the season using your logic.
cheetahsrback
track was shocking no one likes a slick track, it's a world event and they serve that up! the 1 thing i want to point out is when adams was in 2nd going in to the last corner behind a dane and he went round the outside but the inevitable happend on that track and he came 3rd, millard and tatum seemed surprised he tried it but he never had anything to lose finland wern't going to catch them and it didn't matter if poland beat them as they would still be in the race-off so the only way adams would have got into the aussies closer to the final was to try and overtake the dane knowing that it didn't matter if the poles were going to overtake him. imo good decision by the aussies for getting holder in as no 1 was going to beat the danes there and lets face it finald aren't up to standard give him some crucial world experiance and he never did badly at all for a 19 year old, think watty will be in for the race off though. Custom House Kid
This was no advert for the sport and going back to denmark should be looked at for future SWC's The format stinks not what I call team racing! If team GB knocked out I will not bother to watch I'm afraid! The sport does itself no favours!

Gary Stanworth
Just watched the most boring crap speedway on sky, if this is the speedway world cup you can keep it. Been a speedway follower for 37 years now and that was rubbish, but that is speedway these days, ROLL ON THE FOOTBALL SEASON, R.I.P SPEEDWAY. heathen76
In 30 years of watching speedway,Ive seen allsorts-meetings ive enjoyed and others have found boring, and vice versa,at this particular moment however i am struggling to think of a better example of why many occasional viewers find our sport a turn off. What should have been an enthralling battle between 3 teams all capable of winning on the night, was in the end a total & utter yawnfest, and a huge waste of a saturday evening. The lack of an airfence for a meeting of this magnitude was also a disgrace(where is the SGP one?),its not as if they have to rush it back to GB for monday after all-whilst we all realise the danes thrive on a slick surface, this was taking matters too far!,at first i also questioned the common sense of some riders for persisting with an outside line(that wasnt there),but then with 2 riders in front not moving off the white line-what other option had they? (none) hopefully a little rain(i said a little!!!) will prevent ole from creating a similar surface at brandon, and i doubt he could make leszno that poor no matter how hard he tried(or at least i bloody well hope not) PS-if i see that damm mondeo advert again i"ll **^"?**!! speedibee
meetings at vojens are always crap either its slick as a board or waterlogged
tigerblues
Tonight was pretty much crap. Races were over by the 2nd bend. There were a few good races but out of 25 it's a very small minority. Time the GPs and World Cup tracks were prepared with something on them? Slick as a board and no lines or grip to pass at all!
SuzieQ
The one thing I cannot understand on here tonight is why everyone is suggesting that Watt comes in to replace Holder and not Schlien!
duncrusadin
Very disappointed that someone who I respected and admired as a rider could produce such a poor excuse for a racing strip. The FIM should look very closely at tonight's farce and make sure that it is never, ever repeated. Also amazed that world class riders were still trying the non-existent outside line late in the meeting and actually losing places because of it. Rob B
meetings at vojens are always crap either its slick as a board or waterlogged <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No they are not, I've been to Vojens lots of times and seen some cracking meetings. I think tonight was a mixture of due to the heavy rain yesterday and the danes liking it a bit slick but they went well over the top. rhidassa
The one thing I cannot understand on here tonight is why everyone is suggesting that Watt comes in to replace Holder and not Schlien! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Probably because Holder's the one who's been getting all the media attention lately, with the Welsh Open, is he going EL or isnt he, GP qualifiers (though he didnt get through), PL Pairs, PL4TT, etc, etc. I suppose its just because he's the upcoming rider, people expected more of him, which considering his lack of experience in the SWC and at that level, maybe isnt entirely fair. *shrug*
