Jenn
I quite enjoyed the GP. Maybe more to do with the atmosphere than the racing but i will deffo be there again next year. As someone already mentioned, there was a huge thunderstorm at around 4.45 that, despite only being about 30mins long, layed an awful lot of water on the ground. Saying that, i feel i have been to a true meeting as spent the entire journey home picking bits of shale out of my hair and emptying it out of my pockets! Also, im slightly bemused as the only pictures i managed to to actually catch a rider in where ones of Nicki P, the rider that was going fastest of them all! Hard luck to Scott, and well done to Crumpy! Also, was fun spending time with various forumers - how cool was that beer factory? Cant wait for next year! SCB
You can buy rain ponchos at service stations on your way to the airport. They look like bin bags, they feel like bin bags and they smell like them I gave jenn my Cardiff services poncho - I do hope she hasnt gone and lost it!!That may just be what I ended up wearing Everyone else had the sense to take a coat or umbrella, where as I didn't have a coat in Prague and was too tight to buy one, plus 21CH said it would be a passing storm!! Edit. Vectra - there never used to be a charge to get in to practice. There is these days. 60 Krouna, so not a lot. ...... no track should rut after 4 heats (even temporary!) and bend 4 quite frankly was dangerousThe track was rutting in practice. It sent AJ wide a couple of times even then! Poor GP, track looked to have plenty of dirt on it so thought the racing would get better once the dirt moved out but unfortunatly it didn't. Pedersen in a class of his own, championship is his now unless he gets a serious injury. Did any one notice Crump lent Nicholls a new back wheel for this final? The track did have dirt, but it was littered with ruts. Agree about Pedersen, he's phenomenal this year, just made it slightly more interesting than Crumpy did last year by having a few quieter rounds. Yeah, but how boring's Nicki now he's a gating tart Aint he just Prague was right at the top of my list for an overseas weekend in 2008. Not any more. Do it, you won't regret it. Great atmosphere, cheap beer (a whole 80p inside the stadium ) and an amazing city. I quite enjoyed the GP. Maybe more to do with the atmosphere than the racing but i will deffo be there again next year.Agreed, just helped we and those around knew how to have fun Also, was fun spending time with various forumers - how cool was that beer factory? It was beyond cool! Cant wait for next year!Same here. Midget anyone?

Seb the Snail
If i was looking to go to a GP next year Seb it would have to be Leszno. Wide,a bit of banking and a track you can race side by side on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do it, you won't regret it. Great atmosphere, cheap beer (a whole 80p inside the stadium <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Many thanks for the advice, chaps. I think I'll wait for the 2008 fixture list and then see what the best option is during late July or August.
21st century heathen
What a fantastic few days away (has it really been a week since we were sleeping off the first night out?!!). A word of advice for anyone that only went for the GP and was disappointed...get some friends together and go for a long weekend. I reckon the 5 nights away cost me less than £400 incl. flight, accom, GP, spending money. It was a laugh a minute and I even managed to add another 2 members to my 'list' (Diesel and his other half). Thanks to SCB's sister for starting to teach me some Welsh. Prague is lush. Anyway, thanks to the 15ish that made my weekend (some members and some not). Oh, and not forgetting the old lady that tried to follow us back to our apartment at about 04:30/05:00. High 5!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Practice was hot (35 on the stadium thermometer) and dusty but in the end it had produced more dirt than we saw for the GP itself. Caught a couple of nice photos (cool one of Scotty) that I'll link to when I have chance to upload them. There's no getting away from the fact that the GP was crap, but we enjoyed ourselves. At least it's not expensive over there so we just made our own entertainment. Frightening crash for AJ, and thank God for the air fence. That could have been so very much worse. I finally had chance to skip through the Sky footage last night. The analysis of the crash (and comparison with Greg's trip through the ruts) by Billy and Sam was very good. Surely it cleared up one thing. That frame just isn't worth it AJ!! Best wishes to AJ and Antonio who clearly shouldn't have been there. Gollob was taking the wee wee. He rode practice half throttle and was worse if anything on Saturday night. Great to watch on form, but probably the most unprofessional rider at this level. This type of thing is all too common from him. There have been a number of times that he clearly just can't be @r$£d. Nice to see Scotty get some reward for the effort he's putting in. He's now ready for a push into the top 8 IMO. Bomber suddenly (incl the WC) seems to have no speed at this level. I hope it's a blip and nothing more. He's had a really good season and I'd hate to see it slip away from him now. I called Hampel to go well but didn't get around to putting a bet on.
