Adder
Does anyone know if any bookies have priced up the Speedway World Cup yet? It says in the July Sky Guide to check SkyBet for odds but it would appear that they haven't published them yet.
Seb the Snail
Hills certainly had it priced up early last year; I shall call in on the way home and let you know. GB should oblige at Brandon, but I can't see past the Poles for the final given that they will be racing on home soil. It was a total rout last time they hosted it, wasn't it. Anything around 2-1 or more on Polska is a gift. Edit: No odds at present; the Manager told me to ask again next week and said that she would ring Head Office for me if there were none to hand. I would imagine they will be about 5/4. If they are 2/1 I will have the bookies arm off!!

smiles
SKY BET have them on now, with Poland at 3/
Seb the Snail
Still no prices in Hills; due out on Thursday apparently. It says something for the profile of our sport when you can place a bet on the next footie World Cup that is 3 years away, but not the speedway equivalent that will be here in a matter of days! That aside, GB look dead certs for Monday now with AJ seemingly out of the competition. Anything around the even money mark looks a steal. i_support_no_team
You can get a price on all sorts of rubbish but Speedway only really attracts a small amount of punters and most of them very knowledgeable whereas every mug and his dog wants to bet on football

Seb the Snail
Had a wedge on Poland at 9/4 with William Hill. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm about to do likewise; I've had Monkey Harris on the case all day and that's the best price out there apparently. MattyHart
Sweden 10/1 May not be the worst tenner spent ever.
21st century heathen
True. You could have the same tenner, at the same odds, on Britain.
mad max II
Sweden 10/1 May not be the worst tenner spent ever. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sweden 20/1 with betfair & skybet
Seb the Snail
Sweden 20/1 with betfair & skybet <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 10/1? 20/1? 33/1? They won't win it in Poland so you can have what price you like. The smart money has been invested on Polska this afternoon.
